Yep, definitely a good ground horse and like you I will be on him today if the ground truly is good. His mark is very reasonable when you look at what he did to that field at Ascot earlier in the season - chucked in
A number of horses I backed and lost money on at Cheltenham have since come out and won - Tagliatelle and Don Cossack at Aintree for example - so I am very tempted to try and recover losses on Sego Success today. Seems to be a lot of love for him amongst the County set. My enthusiasm is somewhat tempered by the stable form though (no winners in April so far).

Having collected both of the key Guineas trials at Newmarket, all the attention will be on Richard Hannon’s runners at Newbury. The principal question about the favourite for the ‘Fred Darling’ is will she get the seven furlongs or is Tiggy Wiggy a sprinter? If she lasts home, one of her opponents will have to have improved considerably over the winter to beat her. John Gosden’s Jellicle Ball comes here with just a win on Kempton’s polytrack to her name and could be anything. Redstart also won her last start at Kempton in November. Course and distance Listed winner Russian Punch will have the race run to suit thanks to the front-running favourite, but was her last win down to stamina on soft ground? Lacing and Silver Rainbow were well behind that day. As most of the others are not good enough on known form, this looks like one just to watch at the prices. By the time the Greenham Stakes is run, the Hannon stable could be looking for a clean sweep of the trials and they supply the front two in the market. Ivawood blotted his copy book when beaten by Charming Thought in the Middle Park (with Muhaarar third) whilst Estidhkaar ran no sort of race in the Dewhurst trailing in behind Belardo. Ballydoyle’s representative Dick Whittington arguably had his form boosted when Kool Kompany, who he beat at The Curragh, won the Craven. Toocoolforschool made a favourable impression when thrashing Growl by seven lengths on the track last September. The problem with all the aforementioned form is that those races were on soft ground. Flaming Spear is the dark horse after his York maiden win last July but he will need to have improved by a stone on the ratings to challenge the principals on juvenile form. After Moheet’s disappointing run in the Craven, Kevin Ryan’s charge would need to be a generous price to be worth a punt. As I think that Estidhkaar was clearly the one least at home on the autumn soft ground, he is worth another chance. Before the Classic trials, Hannon has two in the ‘John Porter’, which looks very competitive if fitness is taken on trust for several. Romsdal strips fit from winning a five-runner Listed race on the polytrack at Kempton and is the one to beat. Arab Spring makes his seasonal bow after disappointing at Newmarket last July, since when he has not been seen. Of the Hannon pair, Doncaster winner Windshear looks the best prospect if he can keep in a straight line! Newbury 13-45 Windshear 14-15 no bet 14-50 Estidhkaar

Lie Forritt 16/1, Trustan Times 16/1, Harry The Viking 22/1 my 3 for the jock national. Combi fc/tc aswell. I had Al Co as one of my horses last year before eliminating him from the equation and deciding not to back him and have done the same again this year so let's hope lightning doesn't strike twice!
I've had a small bet on Mighty Minnie in the 4.10 at Bangor. Racing Post Spotlight: Sister to Mighty Man and with the ability to win races, possibly finding 3m too far on soft ground here on handicap debut and then 2m4f too sharp on a faster surface in a maiden at Southwell; this might be just the ticket and that handicap form here has worked out well with front two winning since.
Tiggy Wiggy was an absolute speed ball at 2. A sprinter if ever I saw one, and by no means certain to train on at 3, she just has to be taken on in the Fred Darling at the prices. There seems to be some confidence behind Gosden's Jellicle Ball, but I'd rather have the whole field running for me so I'm going to lay Tiggy Wiggy for a place...and watch her win going away probably.
Strange ride by Hughes on Tiggy Wiggy there it was almost like they didn't want to win the race, he didn't exactly go for it did he
Some bubbles burst in the flat so far.... Great win by Cheltenian and super ride by Dickie. Just wanted it more than Hendos horse didn't he.
