Yeah, that place is another casualty of cheap booze in supermarkets, tbh I always found it ok in there, the Deysey always seemed a bit more rough to me, especially on Friday nights, probably due to the disco and there being lads from all the surrounding areas in the one place.

In Scarcroft by the school. Looked like one in Cantril Farm. Not too far from the Knavesmire, as I remember. I used to stay in a guest house off Nunnery Lane, and that was one of the closest. @,93 and it had satellite and lock-ins and all sorts. Was ace.

Bar owner was about 4' 10" but was a massive, massive Leeds fan. Think his name was Gary, but was 20-odd years ago.

A gang of lads from Liverpool came over to see me for the weekend, not long after I got my flat in Skeldergate. They were staying in a guest house in Scarcroft Lane, and when I went to meet them on the Saturday after they'd got rat-arsed on the Friday night we went for a quick game of pool before we did it all again on the Saturday. We met up at 12pm, went to this pub for seven hours, went to the chippy on Blossom St as we were too pissed to go to Delrio's (as we'd booked), and what was left of us ended up in the Achorne till chucking out (and chucking up) time.

    Happy days....

The Pheonix in Holyhead should get a mention, 100% chance someone will take a swing simply because they don't know you. Last time I was there with a bunch of friends it was a mass brawl with us and the locals.

That hotel/boozer place just outside the ferryport used to serve beer 24hrs a day, got there one night at 4am ready to catch the 6 o'clock boat, just went in there for few pints first and it was packed out like an afternoon session in town.

Conwy is a decent enough place, though even there some of the pubs can be a bit rough at times.

As for Holyhead, Anglesey generally is great, but Holyhead is like a big dog turd in a nice garden.

Some of the people whom you saw that night I think that I knew back then. Funny times.

Roche's pub Donadea. Any of your Irish fans from Dublin or Kildare might know it. Built on the side of a bog it has been sinking for years. If you put a ball on one side of the pub it would roll to the other straight away. People come from far flung areas to have a Guinness there. The legs on the bar stools are cut to compensate for the slope in the floor. The telly is great for watchin matches on...hard to judge offsides though !!! Also, hard at the end of the night, to judge how pissed you are as you're leaving. Building constantly makes loud noises as it gradually loses it's battle against nature. Well worth a visit before it disappears completely !
