    What !! Had he not ran out of fuel Hamilton was flying. You Button apologists are unbelievable - even when the evidence is stacked against race in race out. If it makes you feel better then keep dreaming that that is how it wouldve have been.

    So for the british gp, the bbc vote says a british driver is the best. Shocker. Look at a spanish or nuetral website and it will be different.

    but that may have a british bias. But I agree alonso and Hamilton (just as in 2009 and 2010) were the stars of the race

    Thats also bullshit. Nobody wants them to get hurt and in crashes nowdays they very rarely are. That was a fair thing to say in the 80s.

    Well he was continually behind Lewis ever since Lewis overtook him... and we can only assume if he'd upped his pace he'd suffer the same fuel issue.

    Yeah I can agree with you on that. Alonso is the best driver on the grid, no doubt even as a Hamilton fan I can say that, but put Lewis in a Ferrari/Red Bull, he will give Fernando a run for his money.

    Just look at 07 and what Hamilton did. He matched Alonso on points in rookie year.

    <ok>

    But did the slower start mean he would have had more fuel.

    I don't think there was much between Fernando and Lewis today for driver of the day; class of the field.

    Schumacher getting his stop-and-go and drive-through penalties mixed up. Good on him for taking responsibility for the crash, though. That's new, isn't it?

    What's a "links" golf course?

    It's a shame he had that tangle really because the rest of his race was pretty good.
