The home game is arguably the best we've played all season and the best we've looked going forward. Wickham gave Bardsley hell from the left so I'm hoping Advocaat switches us back to a 4-3-3. If its good news on the AJ front I'd start him on the right with Defoe through the middle.

We're so limited at the back but I'd make one change. Reveliere in for Jones.

    -------Pantillimon----------
    Rev--Vergini---Oshea---Pva
    ---------Cattermole--------
    ------Rodwell---Gomez-----
    Johnson---Defoe---Wickham

I wouldn't play Gomez in this one. Perhaps Bridcut instead

    Otherwise I agree with you

What are the under 21s like, do they have pace, physicality and creativity? otherwise it has to be similar to the team that started against Palace and we will get ......

Bridcutt starts for me - I don;t rate him but he doesn;t mind a tackle - unlike Gomez! Push Catts further forward as I know for certain he is capable of passing a ball and probably better at it than anyone we have available for the game!!

Fletcher out Johnson in if the bail hearing goes to plan

I think Rev has been unlucky to have lost his place, but to return for this one I'm not too sure.

Agree which could be crucial against
    a big Stoke side

Would be interesting to see catts with the shackles off with Bridcutt sat in the deep role.

Unfortunately, we'd have a better chance if I played instead of Liam Birdcage :emoticon-0125-mmm:

I started trying to put a team together for this. I got as far as Pantillimon AND Mannone in goal, and my head went down. :emoticon-0145-shake<laugh>

    Defence speaks for itself.

    Watmore...Catts..Rodwell..Johnson
    ............Wickham....Defoe........

After what looked like a masterstroke from Dick against them up the road playing 433, we were blew out the water by Palaces pacey widemen playing the same formation?! I found it very strange we played a narrow midfield against them when it's no secret that its their main strength. Our full backs needed support!

I reckon he should as a an out and out defender to cover the two CHs, may not have pace but his positional play covers that.

Hmm shows how bad the squad is when we have to consider Bridcutt a decent alternative. Is he as good as that Warwick fella from Game of Thrones

We played 433 in every that Dick has been here, Dick only plays 433. Always has done.

    Pantillimon
    Rev--Vergini---Oshea---Pva
    Cattermole--Rodwell
    Gomez
    Watmore-Defoe-Wickham
Subs: Vito, Coates, Jones, Bridcutt, Buckley, Johnson, Fletcher,
Watmore has more than done enough to earn his chance imo. Don't play him and we don't deserve talented young players knocking at the door of the first team

Yeah i meant switch to a traditional 4-3-3 (two wide, one through middle)
From the narrow 3 strikers 3 cm's he's played thus far

O Shea needs dropping, put Cattermole in his place and 4-3-3 is no good, unless we had Ronaldo. 5-4-1 to get a point 0-0 most likely.
