Mclaren made mistakes for both drivers - but if you take away both mistakes then Hamilton would have been on the podium. So unless there is a 4th step AND if (big if) got the undercut on Webber he would've missed out.
The blame has always been given to the overtaking driver, as it's really only them that can avoid the accident, Lewis could do no more than he did to avoid Massa, whose move was very specualtive, if you're going around the outside you gotta go around the outside, not suddenly go for the racing line when someone's already on it.
This race was up with Monaco and China IMO, maybe even above them. I know team orders will start popping up, but you know it's a no-brainer to keep vettel in front as much as possible, seb has a huge lead and it would be foolish to allow mark to keep attacking him towards the end.
Makes no sense because so far this season it has mostly been deemed by the stewards to be Lewis' fault. Domenicali has no problem with it and I don't think there's an inquiry, unless I missed something.
I was baffled by what was happenin with buttons stop anyway regardless. With the radio message being uncoded and giving the game away so he came in after instead. Had they not done that and given that JB was closing rapidly on Webber yes i think he would have got the undercut. Then Hamilton would have ran out of fuel (button was more conservative at the start of the race so presumably had more) then would have got the podium. Had hamilton been given more fuel there is no guarantee he would have had the pace for a podium
The confidence he took into Copse knowing the wet stuff would be there. As for 130r round the outside that was not good IMO. Best overtake ever... Kimi on Fisi Japan 2005 last lap first corner round the outside. Look it up
Hamilton vs. Massa - not much in it. Domenicali says the same. Maybe Hamilton shouldn't have gone in so hot knowing his brakes were weak but what the hell. Excellent interview - platinum card and he's going to go and sit outside their office just in case they need to speak to him.
Is Button insinuating he would have finished ahead of Lewis?? Seriously? Was he in a different race??
It was possible, Button was with Webber and Webber finished ahead of Hamilton. There was a slight chance he could of got second.
Really? He was right behind webber when he had his issue and his conservative start meant he had no fuel issues. Why dont you think for a second.
