Well after Tuesday's exciting draw at the Macron Stadium, we're back in action at The Valley against Leeds United. Reflecting on previous games, I cannot remember a dull match between. The noise The Valley erupted into when Akpo Sodje scored a late goal, thus denting Leeds United chances of automatic promotion, to the "boo'ing" of the fans watching Ross McCormack putting four past us.

Needless to say, this could be a tricky one to predict, despite mine at the bottom, it could go either way!

    The Opposition:
We welcome back former player Neil Redfearn, whom has taken over the helm from November. Over the recent games they have succumbed to a bad run in, since the sacking of assistant coach, Steve Thompson. Leeds United, like us [now], have a bit of a managerial merry-go-round, and it seems in Redfearn that they have found the right person for the job. The only question remains, with the sacking of his assistant and goings on in the background, will he remain at the club come the new season.

    Current Form:
    Charlton Athletic | W W W L W D (Home)
    Leeds United | W D L L L L (Away)

    Head-To-Head:
Since 2010, there has been the following:
    2 Charlton Wins | 3 Draws | 1 Leeds Win

Leeds Fans will have to cast their minds back to, 9th November for their 2 – 4 win over us, but times have changed since then, with them losing Ross McCormack to Fulham for a whopping transfer fee.

It was in that very same season, where Charlton registered their last win against Leeds, with an outstanding curling goal coming from Reza Ghoochannejhad, and a fantastic penalty save from Ben Hamer, after Diego Poyet was found to have fouled in the box, to protect an important win in our Championship survival race.

The same can be said for us, that much has changed this season, with two new managers and new players!

Given that we are playing in front of our home crowd, and our recent run of draws, I expect Luzon to name a strong side in an attempt to restore some pride and end a run of draws, and to reassure fans that he potentially is the right person for the club.

I believe that we'd go with a 4 - 4 - 2 line up, with both Guðmundsson and Bulot playing as attacking wingers, with Watt tucked in behind Vetokele.

    Outcome:
This is a game we should be looking to win, given Leeds bad run, especially away from Home and with us wanting to end a draw drought. I’m predicting a Charlton win.

    Charlton Athletic 3 - 1 Leeds United
Charlton Scorers: Chris Eagles | Tony Watt | Jóhann Berg Guðmundsson
    Leeds Scorers: Alex Mowatt

    Good match report <ok>

I cab't see anything other than a draw unfortunately. Expect at least a couple more this season, which sums up the campaign.

the Barnsley bumbler is the worst of our three coaches this season. He is gone in three games. Thank god!
Things are so bad that I couldn't summon up the will to come down, not even going to Sheffield next week.
We are as bad as I have ever seen us.

Yes it has to be a draw, probably 1-1. I'd have taken mid-table mediocrity at the beginning of the season, in fact I'd have taken 4th bottom, so it's odd that we all feel a sense of apathy. because we all know that the future is in Roland's hands, and we don't know what he has in mind for the summer. I still expect Leeds to bring a big support though, and a few niggly fouls in the first 5 minutes might liven up the atmosphere.

Glory - didn't you guys have a pretty impressive run under redfearn?

Without paying close attention I thought he bought some stability when you were having all of your off field dramas.

He got very lucky, we played against Sunderland and injury forced the clueless one to swap the team and formation. We looked quite decent, then he has stuck with the same tactic even though we were week after week outplayed and getting lucky results. Our goals and shots at goal are among the worst in the league.

Redfearn was youth team coach and has brought through some kids who are worse than some of the new signings, this has split the dressing room so badly that our keeper, best defender and top scorer plus three others refused to travel to London today. Redfearn is completely out of his depth. Would have preferred sir Chris when you sacked him.

Just read that six first-team players have pulled out and will not be coming to London. Could be on for the win!

So would every club on Earth with the possible exception of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich. The man is a living god.

Yes, not great for them, but you never know how those things will work out. Could inspire a bit of Dunkirk Spirit in those who do come.

Still, I am (most unusually) predicting a win for the Addicks (2-1). Hope that does not jinx us. Not that I really care any longer. No doubt the Beast of Belgium has his plans for next season all drawn up and they will not be affected one way or the other by our remaining results.

With 6 players ruling themselves out you have to think we will now go on and win.

    3-0

My last prediction was in the season we dropped into league 1. I predicted we'd beat Sheff.Utd at home and as I recall we lost 5-2. When I saw the Leeds players who were'nt coming, i was toying ominously with the mouse, and hey, I did'nt make a prediction against Northwich.......but I won't do it.
My memories of Leeds late seventies/early eighties were a team and fans it was worth anything to avoid. When we came down from the Prem however, they were the only bunch of fans who seemed WUM free (that may be rose tinted specs talking) so my view has changed a lot. They may well come to us with a bit of Dunkirk spirit, but we should have the quality to overrun them if their players boycott their games.
I'm really thinking more of the summer now. Defeats are not so painfull and victories are a bit value-free now that we're safe, but I still want wins, so come on Guy, let's go and win this.

We will come in huge numbers again ( sold out the full allocation), we will sing our hearts out. But we know how bad we are! Having said that we will have hope, any team that fails to batter Millwall can't be much better than our reserve team.

This news of the Leeds players pulling out doesn't change my 1-1 prediction. We've got 3 strikers who never look like scoring against any defense, fortunately one of our wingers usually manages a goal, so an amicable draw seems likely to me.

If we build on the squad I'm backing watt to get 12-15 goals next season.

Listening to the Leeds commentary. Apart from not liking Watt's effort too much, the impression is we are very lethargic, and sound more likely to score. Seven games without a goal from Tony Watt. Maybe we should keep him on today, in the hope he gets back on track.
Who is this Bullet guy we've bought in?

Sounds quite lively. Leeds having the better of it.

35 mins. Henderson great save from a penalty by Sharp after a foul by Ben Haim on Byram.

    40 mins. 0-1. Morison from a corner.

Kelly Youga scores a goal for Crawley which could relegate Orient.
