Not a pretty display, but you can see why Boro do not concede many goals. Apart from a draw that was the next best result for us. Full Time: 1 Middlesbrough 44 32 84 2 Bournemouth 43 47 83 3 Watford 43 38 82 4 Norwich 44 38 82 A huge chance to go second tomorrow if we can avoid the bananas.
Jon Marks @jonmarks72 5m5 minutes ago Not the time to look any further ahead than tomorrow afternoon for #watfordfc - fans, players & staff all must focus on only 3 points tmrw.
At 5 o clock tomorrow... 1 Watford 44 43 85 2 Bournemouth 44 47 84 3 Middlesbrough 44 32 84 4 Norwich 44 38 82
We still have to win our last three games, we just don't have to out score Norwich now, which we would have done any way. So, in effect, no change with a Boro win.
I I wouldn't have liked to have to rely on GD so I think there is still a fairly large change with a Boro win. Just need to concentrate on the win rather than goals. To be able to do it on points alone is a massive bonus. On another note, this was part of the SSN report on last night's game (talking about Boro) 'but they are now on course to end their six-year hiatus from the Barclays Premier League.' How can they say that until after today's games?!
We should win the last three games - we have got where we are due to good results and at any other time in the season certainly the two home games would have been seen as homers and the Brighton game a possible draw although we have a good record against them. I can see no reason why we shouldn't win against Birmingham who will be without our two loaned players. We have the best strike force in the league bar none and we are at home in front of a sell out crowd. 4-0 is my prediction
I like your thinking and if it was not such a crucial game I would be thinking on those lines too. As it is I will take a win in any form. Looking forward to it though
I have read a few interviews with players this season saying they came to England / Watford to play Premier League football. Guess we are about to find out how seriously they want it! Getting nervous already...
Just been talking to my Boro friend, and he doesn't expect them to be any better than third tonight. We agree though that there will still be some unexpected results before the end of the season and nothing can be taken for granted.
Going to be seriously unlucky for whoever misses out on 88 or even 90 points. 79 was enough for Hull. Much as I'd rather have a local game assuming we go, best of luck.
On the train down. Ale... a medical necessity for my nerves. Glad I don't smoke!! Wasn't even this excited as a kid... well into middle age and I'm like an enthusiastic child before the first day at school.

We are 14 points ahead of where we were two years ago - but still in the same uncertain position - if fact worse as we are one of four not three
