I think a draw was our best result Norwich would be one point ahead and Middlesbrough tied. Now Norwich are tied and Middlesbrough two ahead. With tonights result we benefit only in goals difference.
Win 3 games and we are up - I dont't think anyone would have turned that down when the season started.
No AK. A Boro win is good too so we overhaul both on points without having to bother about goal difference. A draw might have been marginally the better result but it was really anything other than a Norwich win.
Not Watford related, but pertinent - two weeks ago, with three matches each left to play, the top five teams in the A-League were separated by only one point. Two teams bottled it over the last week - Adelaide lost to the bottom club this morning & last week nerves saw Perth suffer a heavy home defeat. Just sayin'...
In 1987/88 I bought a season ticket and was then unable to get to games regularly for a long time. The next time I started going to more or less every home game was 1997/98 (a promotion year). I then bought season tickets until 2004/05 and after that couldn't go often due to work and other commitments. 2014/2015 is the first season since then that I have been going regularly. Just saying........
i see more games now that i live in the us that for many years (streaming plus 10 to 12 per year in the uk )
I know it's unlikely, but in theory we could be promoted on Saturday. If we win, Norwich don't and Boro lose would do it. If the first two happen, then Bournemouth lose on the Monday, that would also do it.
