Anyone that into really ****ed up bizarre ****, watch 'American Horror Story' http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1844624/?ref_=nv_sr_1 It's actually very good, I'm only on episode 5 of season1 - but **** me it's completely nuts.
It's ok, gets a bit daft by the end but worth seeing through, leave it at that though Season 2 which doesn't follow on is ****e of the highest order. We've been talking about a programme called Buried, it's on 4OD I think it'll be right up your street.
Spent three seasons praising Arrow bar one thing, twists. I've predicted just about everything that's happened. However, there were two twists tonight that I didn't see coming at all; Roy faking and Thea at the end. Brilliant episode!!!
Which version, the British or American? If the British, I'd say average film with some funny moments. If the American, ****.
Don't know if any of you have read the Uthred series of books by Bernard Cornwell, its set at the time of King Alfred. I have read all the books so far and thought it would make a great TV series or film series. Well BBC are now making them, should be interesting to see if they do a similar job to HBO with GOT, or just f**k it up.
Do you read the comics? I don't but I know the character Roy's been playing is played by Arrows sister in the comics, and called speedy, something Oliver calls Thea. I reckon Thea well be saved like Oliver was.
HAve read the Uthred series, (as far as it has gone and I do rate it.) However, the warlord trilogy will always be my fave of Cornwell's work. (wanted to call my daughter Ceinwyn.) 100 years war books are also good. I think all would make good tv. He makes the characters so interesting and that can only transfer well to the screen. Didnt realise the BBC were making it, that is awesome news.
Watched Furious 7... was good, nice action sequences with some funny dialogue, plus it had that fit bod with the afro from GoT in it. 'Cars don't fly' - Paul Walker
Just stuck episode one of Better Call Saul on He is making Cinnabons Can tell it's made by the same team as Breaking Bad, loads of close-up attention to detail in the filming, idiosyncratic music, very interested in mass consumerism and it looks like there are lots of parallels between Saul and Walt... average guy stuck in ****ty dead end job decides to exploit an aspect of the American economic system for personal gain and rep NO WAIT!! Looks like the Cinnabon stuff is a flash forward after it's all gone to **** for him
