Thats the problem isnt it? It the same core squad as 2 seasons ago. Relying on O'Shea and Brown in defence, who get found out against pacy forwards. Relying on Cattermole and Larsson to anchor the midifeld, but not having a fast pacey CM to compliment them - Gomez and Rodwell bought in but were not what we needed. We need our DoF and new coach (whoever that may be) to agree to get rid of O'Shea, Gomez, Rodwell, Bricutt and Alvarez. We need to invest at least 15m in defence, and another lot on 2 pacey and physical CM.
**** off the guy was inept at tactics formations and subs, the only problem big Dick has is a team of ****ers at least everything else he does is spot on
There are always shock results at the end of the season, No reason why one can't go in our favour. We've still got Stoke, Everton and Leicester, outside of the top 6 teams we still have to play. If we can scrape 4 or 5 points from those games, we're still in with a fighting chance.
Hughsy just needs to put Crouch on and he will get a hat trick. He won't even have to jump just wait for the ball landing on his head cos o'****e hasn't got a scooby.
you just made me spurt my coffee everywhere! It's such a tough one to call. 4 of the bottom 5 sides go on to the pitch each game and give there all in fighting for survival. Then there's us.... I think we'll do it, but only because other teams around us will do us a favour, because on current form we're not going to get ourselves out of this one.
Agree with every word, Dan, except one. Alvarez looks to me like he has something about him, and a first season in the EPL isn't easy for anyone. I'd be inclined to give this lad a second look.
Cheer up lads. We won't be the first. Tonight at 11.40, in 1912, Titanic hit the iceberg and went down around 2.30.
I don't think that walloping done us any favours at all, at least us not having a game this weekend we will see how we stand against the other relegation fodder. Feel a bit sorry for dick, (I know he is getting paid sh*t loads) as he is trying to make a silk purse out of a pigs ear. If we stay up I would like to see him given a go at next season and see what players he could bring into Sunderland with his previous connections. We certainly need someone in with some balls next season to get rid of whatever is going on behind the scenes at Sunderland as Billy said earlier, nothing has changed for years except that couple of seasons with Reidy.
The way our team played against Palace makes me wonder if some of the players have got the same bet on. F***ing disgraceful
