Well fired and then left to cool before applying cold salted butter. Either that or thick cut Marmalade (which incidentally is the German word for Jam)
I once ate copious amounts of toast with Gladstone Small. Rain had stopped play at the charity match we were taking part in, so we snuck into the pavilion's kitchen area and began grilling away. I like my toast burnt, but Gladdo's a lightly-browned sort of guy. Anyway, we polished off two loaves, a large tub of Lurpak and three-quarters of a jar of Wilkin and Sons' Morello Cherry Conserve. Great memories, indeed.
Same here except a rib-eye, gherkins, chilli, cheese, 'slaw, anchovies, tomato sauce and a big **** off trout with it's eyes still in on top That ladies and gentlemen, is how real men eat their toast GIRFUY
