RBF, the only poetry to be beat by you is this sir Kick off, throw in, have a little scrimmage, Keep it low, a splendid rush, bravo, win or die; On the ball, City, never mind the danger, Steady on, now's your chance, Hurrah! We've scored a goal. City!, City!, City!
Sorry to hear this RBF I have enjoyed your poetry and appreciate deeply the work you have done many thanks from me and the Norwichmen 1&2 Please accept our fondest wishes for you and your good lady from us bors up here in north west Norfolk
RBF - farewell for now brother, you will be greatly missed. Best wishes to you and Mrs RBF and I hope that you will be back with us very soon.
Thank you so much for all of the words from you all, I wish I could answer each and every one of you separately, but that would take forever, so I hope the ´likes´ will suffice.
RBF, All the very best to your wife. Everything in moderation fella. Absolutely no need to cut yourself off from what you enjoy. It won't do you or your wife any favours.
We've never really interacted with each other, but still sad to see you go. All the best to you and to your wife.
May your love for your wife and she for you be glorious Sir. my wife and l will be heartily pleased when we go up with you.
This is quite a shock RBF, but I can understand that you need to be there for your wife. You'll be sorely missed for sure, mate, but all the best for the future.
Hi skald meert, sorry to hear of your decision but fully understand your reason. Wishing your wife a happier time in the future and hope it is nothing serious. Been a real pleasure to read your ditties and will miss them. I cannot wish you a quick return to contributing to our board with you poetic efforts as the circumstances could not be what I or you would like, sufficient to say that if you do return it will be with good news of your missus. No offence meant just that at our age we are more understanding of life's shortcomings. Running the competitions has taken a lot of your time and hopefully a younger person will step into the breach and carry on your good work. Regards to Rex and the missus and hoping you do return with good news.
Thanks too RBF, I too have enjoyed your ditties and musings over the years, from the original 606 to the here and now. The prediction leagues too! I wish you all the best, don't be a total stranger, always a true gent.
Nice editing, I was hoping you'd have done that by the time I woke up this morning. On the sauce last night by any chance?
I have been away for a couple of days and have just seen this thread. I am saddened because you brought a dimension to our board like no other and it goes without saying that you will be greatly missed. That said, one's health or that of a loved one is more important at the end of the day and I wish Mrs RBF all the very best under your care. It has been a pleasure knowing you Sir. As the song goes "There ain't nothing like a Dane.....etc"
