Shola was a class above in the championship when he played, could definatly see west ham goign in for him big sam would love his style. am i the only one who doesnt want him to leave? hes been here donkeys years and has played in the champions league and uefa cups with us, he also seems to love the club a lot otherwise he would of pushed for a move when he wasnt playing i bet a bunch of poor PL teams or championship teams would of loved to have shola, maybe we should show some loyalty towards him

    Good call!

I just can't imagine life without Shola in black and white but if he does leave I'd want it to be somewhere where he'd be the main man, in some obscure league no one's heard of. He could spread the Geordie accent around the world. <ok>

Haven't India had a major league redevelopment in recent years? It's only been on the go for 4 years so he has a realistic shot at being the league's all-time topscorer (current record is 86).

I can just picture him, lifting the I League trophy with East Bengal in front of 120,000 fans having scored 40 goals in a season. He deserves to be worshiped.

I like the use of the word 'slew' in the article.

Offer him £15k per week + goal bonuses etc and it can't do any harm.

Pretty much this, gives him extra incentive to be Super Shola not **** Shola when called upon.

Something has just dawned on me...

SHOLA CAN PLAY FOR GB IN THE OLYMPICS!!!

It looks like all the 'top' players will be shunning the competition but a team consisting of David Beckham (he wants to do it), Shola Ameobi, Ryan Giggs and a mix of U23s from the home nations.

I feel a petition coming on...

This, It would be a very sad day if we made Shola leave, give him a contract he deserves it!

Why does he deserve it? He played well for a half a dozen games and then got rewarded with a long contract - hmmm, Viduka springs to mind! He's the laziest footballer I have ever witnessed. If he stays he would be 4th choice at best, in his early years he has ambition, if has any left he would leave for a Championship club and get them into the Premiership.

Or he go to the MLS, China(Harewood is playing there now haha), Thailand(Fowler/Shola partnership would be unplayable in that league), Hong Kong(will be Nicky Butt's partner haha) or Australia(why not)..?
