Well - thanks for the reminder that I did not need but you did not say our English part of the UK Parliamment is overwhelmingly Tory - which at a stretch could be just about defended but that England was overwhelmingly Conservative - and that means people not MPs - on that you are sunk

In May the voters of England will use their democratic right and will overwhelmingly vote for the Conservatives. They will have more votes than Labour and many more seats than Labour. The Greens on the other hand will do slightly better than the raving monster loony party or the latest equivalent. They are irrelevant in UK politics.

They may actually mean well but their incompetence lets them down every time. The only time Labour seemed to be have a clue was the first 3 years of the Blair government when they followed Ken Clark's policies. But alas their urge to spend our money got the better of them which led to the present deficit.

No Labour government has ever left office with the economy in a healthy state. It is why we need the Tories - they clear up the mess Labour leaves - gets the economy back on track so that Labour can give it away again. A plague on both their houses.

I wouldn't actually categorise the near-doubling of UK's debt in five years through their much-vaunted austerity as clearing up the mess...

You've been spouting the same tired old lies on the politics thread on your board.

Did Labour cause the banking crisis? No.

Are you accusing them of spending too much money on schools/hospitals/infrastructure in general? Or employing too many nurses/teachers/etc...?

The wars are the only thing that I hold against the last Labour governments, but your idol Maggie dragged us into the Falklands bullshit so no points gained there on your side.

Stop parroting out the feeble lies that idiots feed on and come up with a decent argument, then we can talk <ok>

I'm not sure you have the intelligence to debate sensibly. You just resort to childish name calling and insults.

Lets hope that we have a strong Tory government so we can further reduce the bloated state section. The future is bright, the future is blue.

You called the Labour leader Millipede in an earlier post <doh>

There's nothing to debate with you. You're an idiot.

What you need sunshine is a load of lefty posts to make you feel happy wallowing in self pity.

There are opportunities in the UK that the French, tied up in socialist restraints, can only dream about. Capitalism is the only answer for better living standards for all but you need create the wealth first.

If you're a Tory, you create that wealth by stealing from the poor and the disabled!

Yes - but when that wealth is spirited away out of the country to where HMRC has no say/access, when tory ministers openly participate in tax dodging activities, when the government categorically refuse to make those who 'make' the most pay their share, what's the point of creating it?

Compared to most western countries France is very socialist. They despise the US/UK model to their financial detriment. I lived there for many years. I'm afraid you are not doing very well, maybe time to revert to insults, I'm sure you know all sorts of swear words. There is a foul mouthed yob at the back of the Rookery, not you is it?

I grew up in France and my parents live there, don't ever try and tell me how the French think.

So, back to the bit you swerved around when answering. Is France a capitalist country, yes or no?

France is a capitalist country. Its economic sickness is primarily due to its overbearing state, horrendously high tax levels, insane regulation, absurd levels of inefficient public spending and generalised hatred of commerce, capitalism, success and hard work.
High unemployment, no growth, no hope.
