Also been in discussions with the Conservative Minister for Sport and Culture, added the photo of toad face and Ed Milliband together, interesting angle perhaps for the media given the upcoming election. Am I right in thinking that the Allam's themselves actually made their letters public? Another question; what are the implications of the actioning the Allams for a breach of contract? Would it end their running of the SMC and if so, who would be responsible for the debts?
The Council sent the letters to all Councillors I think. One of them may have leaked them to the press. If the Council revoke the lease, the SMC would remain liable for the debts. A new rental agreement would have to be put in place between the Council and Hull City and Hull FC for continued use of the KC. The Airco would revert back to the Council who could then evict Hull City and put the amateur clubs back in. Hull City Tigers Limited and possibly Hull FC would have a claim against the SMC for any losses incurred by the breach of the lease. One of the wonders of English company law. Ehab Allam wearing one hat can sue Ehab Allam wearing another hat. I hope that's clear.

But only if the Council have the balls to do it. If they haven't its still a mess, just a slightly different one.
If it ends up in court then their fraudulent conduct is probably a bigger issue for them than breach of contract. Fraudulent misrepresentation being (courtesy of my Contract Law module textbook from uni) "a deliberate attempt by the party making the statement to deceive another party and, therefore, influence the innocent party to enter the contract". I'd say making up an imposed deadline to try to make the Council either (illegally) grant them planning permission now or enter into an agreement to compensate them to the tune of £425k of tax payers' money if permission was turned down would meet that criteria. Time to see whether the Council has the balls to go after it, or whether pressure needs applying by local tax payers and voters to go after the very wealthy men who just tried to steal £425k from the services they pay for. I don't think for example that letting someone who tried to take money away from local schools (as one thing funded by the Council purse) just walk away would be particularly popular. Or that a Labour led council allowing a large Labour donor do that would be a particularly good vote winner if the media were to pick up on it.
I'd like to see the HDM try to contact some individuals and companies who have had dealings with Allam Marine over the decades. Try to gauge their experiences.

Cheers Ricardo. I guess one consideration for the Council relates to the implications for Hull City if the chairmen are found guilty of such crimes. I reckon part of the Allams gamble relies on the Council not wanting to be seen as killing the club. I think right now, public opinion would favour the Council taking action and the Club would have to deal with the consequences, the same as any other business. If the Allams wanted to challenge the Council, they could have found some strong allies, if only they'd gone about it the right way at the start.
As Ricardo pointed out on Twitter yesterday, if the council were to go down this route and the Allam's were found guilty, they would automatically fail the fit and proper person test and be prevented from owning the club(a fraud conviction is one of the few things for which the fit and proper person test is actually effective). But despite the public anger and the support the Council may get, I seriously doubt they have the stomach for a legal battle with the Allam's and I don't think they'll go any further than trying to throw a spanner in the works with letters to the Premier League(ironically, if nothing else, they'll work against the Allam's on the name change application, the arrogance and unreasonable nature of those letters will damage the credibility of the Allam's and further enforces the idea that it's all really about a spat with the Council).
It's the 'deliberate' bit that is hard to prove. The club could cite lack of internal communication/incompetence as a defence and looking at the club's track record in recent history I think they'd have a fairly water tight case
