I don't recall saying that PL wasn't competitive, nor did I say it wasn't exciting. I was making a case that other leagues aren't as one sided as some may think.

My original point was that the quality of football in the PL is at it's worst.

Mangala will be prove to be a good centre back - the lad is still young and moving to a new country can prove to be difficult. He's certainly talented enough - admittedly, he's been awful this season.

Jovetic is another talented player - I wouldn't mind taking a punt on him at the right price.

Not sure if it's just me but isn't the whole FFP flawed in the sense that it allows the richer clubs to keep spending i.e. the richer/bigger clubs are able to spend more because of their revenue and big sponsorship deals.

All it does it maintain the existing level surely? ..

  4. Obviously it is designed to stop clubs risking their own existence buy out spending their own means but essentially yeah, the rich get richer is pretty much it.

Chelsea seem to be getting poorer and they were pretty rich.

They currently have to do some suspect deals with PSG to have any money to spend on players.

Some of the rich are getting poorer.

  6. Yeah, you can't help but feel sorry for them last summer with them only being able to buy Fabregas and Costa like...

Only thanks to a very suspect deal with PSG for a 5million player who they got 50million for.

If Labour win the election and they bring in the Non-dom tax policy Roman will be on his way to sunnier climbs, he'd be liable to pay tax on his Russian oil money.

If he does he'll want his loan money back and that will really bite Chelsea on the arse, but they will no doubt find another mega-rich owner.

  9. Yeah, way over-priced player but they also thought ahead and bought seventeen squads worth of player to send out on loan, they're far from poor atm.

Parma also bought 17 squads worth or players to loan out. They wont exist next season.

They are not poor though. Just a small time selling club supported in part by the former NF.
