    Nothing about this makes sense.

It's a cute angle, but the protest should not interfere with the enjoyment of another innocent sport - keep this in perspective, it's our problem, not that of Squash. If (and I really doubt it) you want to hurt him then protest at his main business and seek ways of agitating against that. Why not get some banners made that will bring the discontent into the ground; why not protest in the ground - do you really think it will change the football? Personally, although not totally decided, I think I will just stop supporting Hull City AFC as it is disappearing, although I will always follow it, out of a morbid curiosity. PL football and some of the owners and behaviours leave a bad taste in the mouth, as do some of the so-called supporters.

'if you are happy to watch a multi millionaire stop local children and families enjoy a community council owned facility.........'
A council owned facility that loses £250k a year that a company owned by a multi millionaire bails out.
What about the hundreds of local youngsters from local schools and beyond who can now use this failing 'council owned facility' because of the £250k investment into a 3G pitch by a multi millionaire?

No, it really isn't! All of the issues are interconnected it is just that there are too many folk with their own precious points to make to bring it all together in their thinking. Divide the issues and be conquered, unite them and show everyone just how malignant the twat is.

A tournament with his name on it, in an arena where he will now hire a temporary floor in so his sport can continue, for the next three years by the way, seems precisely the place to demonstrate. If the squash players are made to feel uncomfortable for a short while so be it, at least they can enjoy their sport, whilst the locals cannot.

The terms and conditions of the SMC were known before Mr Allam bought it.
Lies, damn lies, and statstics. Maybe profit and loss statment should be added to that line.
Time will tell how many local youngsters from local schools will get to use the pitch. I wouldn't start counting your chickens (or youngsters ) just yet.

Fair enough, that's your opinion and, like I said, it's cute. But for me (see what I did there Castro!), I think it is bad enough having a local megalomaniac doing everything he can to disrupt sport without us taking our frustrations out on Squash and creating another victim of his bile. I have no doubt most would conduct themselves with dignity and style, but could you guarantee that?

I think it's ideal, any protest would be outside so wouldn't affect the sport itself, it would just really upset and embarrass Assem and it's at the site that's at the heart of the issue.

    Just reward.

If that's your opinion that's fine; but I think protesting at another sport's major event is poor. I have no doubt it will happen though, as it would seem the bandwagon is already rolling. If it does and it is supported by the HCST then that will be my membership terminated, not that it would bother anyone but me. He winning, isn't he, he is splitting the supporters and the city.
I think folk should await the next move of HCC.

The multi-millionaire pays next to no rent for the KC or the Airco Arena to the Council. The bargain was the SMC gets the KC for professional rugby and football and the community gets the Airco subsidised by the SMC. A fair exchange at the time until Assem Allam decided to evict local people to get half a million pounds from the Premier League.

Don't worry about HCST. At most you'll see a statement from them not condoning any protests but full understanding of why people are pushed to it and they hope blah blah blah.

I think it is up to Aircoforall if there is to be a protest outside the squash tournament. If they decide to hold one I'll attend. I have no style but I'm nearly always dignified.

I really don't understand you. Even people who have previously thought Allam was okay are now changing their mind. Can he do nothing wrong in your eyes ever? Why the hell should anyone burn their season cards, what a ridiculous idea. I support the team on the pitch, that is why I have a season pass. I do not support the owner.

That's an objectionable & ****ish thing to say, as well as being 100% wrong.

EDIT: although my touchy nature of this subject may well have meant I've been whooshed with your sarcasm.
