Hull City Tigers Limited don't have a 50 years lease. The SMC have a lease which says the sports hall should be used as a sports hall. All the Council have to do is write to the appropriate body and say they are looking at the validity of what has happened. If they do I suspect there will be no Category 2 status in April. It all comes down to whether Brady is all mouth and no trousers.
It's illegal to spuriously threaten legal action, precisely to prevent things like that from happening.
He's not going to anything Obi, he was never going to do anything, he was absolutely livid on the radio and still wasn't interested with threatening the SMC with anything. It's over, the pitch is in, the evictions have happened and absolutely nobody is going to do anything to reverse it.
It wouldn't be spurious. If the SMC have broken the lease it can be revoked, or the council can insist that the Arena be put back to how it was. Elementary property law.
You're being very naive Obi, they're not going to do a ****ing a thing about it beyond being annoyed on Radio Humberside.
That's why I never suggested they should. They also have a duty to protect their assets and the community. Looking at the lease wouldn't be illegal, not looking at it possibly is.
Either they tell the Premier League they're considering legal action to terminate the lease, potentially throwing doubt on the security of their lease, or they do nothing and affect nothing. Just looking at stuff and not telling anyone isn't going to affect anything, they have to tell the Premier League or as far as they're concerned it's not an issue. It's all irrelevant anyway as the Council will do nothing other than say they're very annoyed.
The council may possibly do that. It's not a bad guess. But it's reasonable to ask IF the Prem asked the landlord about the tenure, and they pointed out that it was against their wishes, and possibly against the terms of the lease, could that be a negative on the assessment. Obi's liable to have looked into the assessment criteria, and seems to see it as a possibility. That could make this farce a whole lot worse. As people seem pissed off with the evictions it seems reasonable to explore all avenues before going belly up.
This whole sorry state of affairs would have never happened if the club didn't originally **** it up by going all in with Bishop Burton. A very nice facility for sure. Worthy of at least category 2 status by anyone's estimation. That is all but for one important detail. The lack of a covered 3g pitch. I've said it before, but which ****tard was it at the club that made the decision to move there without a pre arranged agreement for building the absolutely necessary 3g pitch. It's sheer incompetence for which heads should have rolled. Club should have just built it's own academy and none of this would have happened.
Oh FFS, close the thread. Ironic coming from someone criticising Brady's English. Yet you get upset when someone points out your poor written English.
I didnt get upset you boring old ****. I was making a joke with Happy knowing you'd much rather **** off over commas than talk about the topic. You can delete this post mods and castros if you want as he'll ruin the thread
You use commas. But not necessarily in the right places. Can you link us to your condemnation of Allam's latest pissing off people episode? And tell us the facts which back up Allam's claims of the benefits a name change would bring? Surely a week or more is enough to come up with them.
I've used my position as an outsider and my cold hearted nature to back Allam to the hilt with this 3G pitch, it's impossible to hold the council to fault here. There's literally nothing they could have done within the timescale and Allam's other ridiculous demands. Glad it's in now though.
Brady can't help the way he talks. It is what he was saying that matters. I was pointing out it was ironic someone doing that when their posts are full of poor English.
