Now in this country there's 4 or 5 sides that could realistically win the league, over there it's still really a 2 horse race, Athletico's gate crashing of last season is unlikely to happen again. La liga is closer to the SPL in terms of competitiveness. Two sides have and always will dominate. Compare over the full history of both top divisions (old division one) and the point becomes even clearer. Without checking Real have almost as many titles as United and Liverpool combined and Barcelona have 22 or 23. More tham any side in England. So this goes back further than the PL era. La Liga has always been unfair unless you happen to be, Real or Barcelona.
