The way you run can be relevant to the type of injuries you get. owen planted his heels in when he ran, harder to knocka player off his strike when he runs like that, Ronaldo runs on the balls of his feet, easier to knock that sort of player over, the latter will get much less hamstring knee and thigh injuries tho..

Hendo and Fergie, that was his posture Fergie was on about, that's not even remotely the same thing... <doh>

I am talking about how your stride puts pressure on different parts of the leg depending on how you run. Ronaldo also wore boots too small for him to compact his foot giving him more spring in his step and allowing him to kick the ball harder and get better traction running the way he does..

  9. Well, it is the same thing. You were talking about the style of running but focusing on the foot, stance can effect it just as much.

On the small boots thing, Robbie Fowler is a size seven but he always wore a size five to play in. He showed his mangled up toes off on TV before <laugh>

Raheem Sterling wants the Liverpool fans to sing his name. Despite being embroiled in a difficult contract situation—which has seen him turn down £100,000 per week, reported by Chris Bascombe of The Telegraph—Sterling wants an Anfield chorus to ring out in his honour.
Speaking to the Sunday Times Magazine (h/t Sky Sports), Sterling said that he wants to hear his name belted out by the club's supporters: "Of course, when the crowd is with you, there is nothing better. My ambition is to have my own song from the Kop. Last season I loved the song for Luis SuarezSteven Gerrard and Philippe Coutinho have good ones too."

Few will feel like singing the youngster's name at the current time. Sterling's contract saga—which has seen him linked with a move to Arsenal, per David Woods of the Daily Star—threatens to be the defining story of Liverpool's season.
B/R UK's Ryan Bailey and James McNicholas recently looked at how the Gunners could lure Sterling to the Emirates Stadium:

The way Owen ran, it put all the pressure on his calf hammy and knees, mostly on his hammy. Most of the pressure is on the back of the leg from the calf upwards. Not a surprise the lion's share of his injuries are just those areas

Ronaldo most of the pessure will be on his knees and thigh muscles.

Henderson could be deemed to have too straight a back which may put a lot of pressure on his lower back, I don't buy it though, the lad will not have the back problems us internet warriors will have when we reach 60/

Our injury record is not great, but our training methods has nothing to do with Walcott's injuries, first he had two dodgy shoulders that kept popping out or something and he said that he inherited that problem from his dad, then he picked up an ankle injury with England, and lastly he did his cruciate after getting into awkward posistion trying to tackle Danny Rose, which was pretty unlucky. The muscle injuries are the real problem at Arsenal, and to my memory Walcott has not had many of those compared to the other Arsenal players.
