Feck... The internet is now a collective conscious. It's like SkyNet all over again.... It's only a matter of time before it fires nuclear missiles at Milton Keynes!!!
I think the rule is you can't tell em how to drive in the sense of take it easy on corner 3, or take a particular line.
Quietly waiting for you to educate us all with your vast knowledge! Due to my lack motorsport intelligence I'm confident you will be able to guide me on the point that you have proved?
Someone had to take the fall at Mercedes, sad in a way it is Nico whom has worked with them since their return. But Lewis is now just unbeatable mentally and physically, submission by Nico was inevitable wasn't it? The only other driver that could give a fight would be Alonso, but I don't think Mercedes are thinking of him right now. They just want to pick up the WCC.
Would love to see that, don't think Hamilton would be fazed by Alonso coming in.. But would Alonso take on Hamilton again, he's by far a better driver now than when he came in has a Rookie? I'd love to see it.. but doubt we'll ever see such a power pairing in any top team for a while, best pairing right now is the Ferrari line-up but will they let them race, something tells me that Seb is their #1 guy and even if Kimi is in a position to challenge, they may "instruct" him to take it easy...
pfft, Hamilton has mental strength only because he has a weak opponent, both in the head and on the track give him a challenge like Alonso or Seb in the same car and he would fall apart again, maybe he'd go around accusing people of being racists because he's losing again.
Haha, no seriously even I think he has matured from the stroppy teenager phase. Along with myself in recent years That racism incident was very low of him, but 2011 was rock bottom for Lewis in F1. I agree Alonso (more than Seb) would pile on the pressure if he was seated at Mercedes. Sebastian just isn't the intimidating type in my opinion, more passive aggressive through his results. I wonder how Lewis would cope with Senna or Schumacher as a team-mate, both in their primes? Interesting.
Personally I think it seems like Hulk has lost motivation. The formula punishes his size and he keeps getting passed over for top drives. I'm hoping his participation in Le Mans will be a pre-cursor to him making the move full time, because he's wasting his time in F1 now. The talent was definitely there though, there was a spell a couple of years back where he was constantly scrapping with Alonso despite being in a Sauber. There was one drive in Korea which was particularly memorable. I think getting overlooked in that phase of his career just killed all hope for him. I fully blame the FIA for it too, those ridiculous weight regulations for 2014 made it impossible for him to get a top drive, seats were available at Red Bull, Ferrari, McLaren and Lotus that year, that should have been the opening he needed, but no.
Will heat be an issue at Bahrain? Checking the timings, its another night race, so, will track temps be as much of issue as they were at Malaysia? I guess that's a question for the Bahrain GP Thread....
I still remember that double overtake. He defended amazingly against Alonso in a few races, that would have made sure Nando remembers him. If Hulk does ever leave early, I'll always remember that he had so much more to give.
I doubt it will be very hot, it's the sun that increases track temperature rather than the air. Bahrain's much harder on the rears than China though, it could be rear degradation where Ferrari have the bigger advantage. We'll find out soon enough.
So whatever happened to the Rosberg who was mentally tough, the most intelligent and had this superior brilliant mind?
More traction zones? However weren't the Merc's meant to have loads of rear tyre life left after their stints, recall a message Rosberg got from his engineering saying that the front left had a "bit" of life left but the Rears were fine! Seriously hope Bahrain isn't a procession, want the Ferrari's to be in the mix till the end, wouldn't mind seeing Kimi taking a race win!
