Well that is your opinion, I thought that Pelle was good throughout and the only reason he struggled early on was because hopeful balls were being lofted to him when he had no support so that even if he won the knock-down no one was close to him to pick it up. Davis was given a lot of back passes on a very wet pitch, something I meant to discuss, and his passing was much better than most!

I thought that the pitch was over-watered at half time and was possibly the reason why a number of passes were under hit and got stuck, You could see players splashing around the centre circle and I don't think that was conducive, what do you think?

I agree that there was either too much water, or the grass was too long.

Re Pelle and your first comment, you actually have underlined my point by saying no-one to get on his knock downs because in the first 15 minutes, he didn't hold it up (I didn't mention knock-ons). I also went on to say how good his hold up play and passing was for the rest of the game, so that's three quarters of the game (more than) so he had a good game, but it took him 15 minutes to find his touch, whether there was support or not. It was just an observation after someone said how well he played first half and I thought the first part of first half he didn't.

I thought Yoshida was our best player yesterday (admittedly from a pretty poor bunch) but hey what do I know, I've only ever played Subbuteo.

The old Subbuteo saying just popped into my head: They swerve and they spin as they weave on their way. :)

Disagree. 2nd half he was good but looked shaky in the first.

I reckon the fact that we don't surround the ref when a decision doesn't go our away has something to do with it.

It's all about opinions of course but I don't remember him doing much wrong. He looked (to me) composed on the ball and rarely gave it away which is more than you could say about the rest. Toby was pretty good too.

That's been the problem with Pelle all season imo. The other forwards are too far away from him.

I'd agree with this, I thought Yoshida was good. I thought the problems in the first half came because we had no outlet upfront. We'd win it in defence, hoof it up to Pelle or Davis, who's subsequently lose it and allow Hull to have another go. Thankfully they're toothless, and our defence and holding players are solid.

Spot on. He was bossed by their striker first half, but second half he did the bossing and was very good.

I agree about the pitch watering, I think that was the reason Shane lost control of that early chance, the wind was very tricky at times and I think that was the cause of KD's ricket.

Pretty sure Pelle scored from a corner in the FA Cup game against Palace.

You're right I think. And Toby got one in the league game at Palace. I see a pattern emerging here...

To me Shane was looking to take a dive but their keeper didn't make a rash challenge so his final touch that took it over the deadfall line was one he hadn't expected to make. Shame he didn't look to score rather than "win a penalty" as that would have immediately settled us down and pitch Hull into depression from the start

If you look at the replay, his first touch was good, then the ball bounced off his shin towards Harper, which meant he had no chance of a shot. Then he couldn't control it on the line.

Even after the poor touch, he still had a chance to shoot.

He did but was looking for the keeper to commit so wasn't ready for the net touch to either shoot or round the keeper
