To the morons who threw bottles and coins onto the pitch when Chelsea scored. YOU ARE NOT FANS. You have brought shame upon the club and possible sanctions. I hope each and everyone of you is identified and you never soil Loftus Road ever again by your presence.
Agree, no place for this behaviour. They are fans though, they pay to go and were understandably a bit pissed off, especially with the players celebrating in their faces. Fabregas and Ivanovic at least should also be disciplined for deliberately provoking the fans in a very foolish way. Emotions ran high yesterday, and that corner of the ground was very tightly wound, as all the Chelsea players knew. Good for Mourinho for downplaying the whole thing.
Completely agree. I was booing and shouting and trying to distract Oscar for his corners - worked the first time! - but there are limits. Completely unacceptable behaviour. Puts us at the same detestable level as Millwall and Cardiff. Jose was real class in his post match interview (as was Ramsey). However, I'm not sure he had to give Ramsey a peck on the cheek!!
Agree Stan. The idiots should be banned but the Chelsea players hold some responsibility for inciting our fans. Mourinho gained my respect on so many levels yesterday. He was very complimentary towards us.
Weak argument really. It was hardly Adebayor v Arsenal and if fans are happy to give out stick they should expect a proportionate amount back when opposing players score. No excuses for throwing things I'm afraid.
Fans spend entire games winding up players, yet they get pelted with stuff when they do it back? Grow a thicker skin. The saddest part of this whole thing is that it will, to some degree, tar the vast majority of decent QPR fans with the same brush.
I quite agree re. The fans but you assistant coach getting in the faces of our bench is somewhat different. I've heard reports from people at the game that he got a matter of inches from Chris Ramsey's face giving it Larry large. Fans are fans but all club staff should conduct themselves with better grace that he did. Apparently he has form for doing it at other clubs. I'll try and find out more to substantiate it.
Agree with this. By their own admission, QPR fans went out of their way to unsettle our players yesterday, which is fair enough, you want to create a hostile atmosphere for visiting teams because it helps you win points...nothing wrong with that. But to then bitch and moan because a player celebrates near you is a tad hypocritical.
No excuse for throwing stuff of course but come on deliberately winding up fans, who are already wound like tightly coiled springs, isn't the brightest move. It's like poking an annoyed dog with a stick.
I will admit its not the brightest move. But when said fans have been booing you and jeering at you and making up derogatory chants for 90 minutes, if you score, you are going to want to rub it in a little bit.
Like I say, it was hardly Adebayor v Arsenal. It certainly wasn't one where I immediately thought there was a real deliberate intent to incite. And an annoyed dog might bite you where as most of these fans are probably cowards hiding in a crowd.
By the looks of things most of the throwing of items came from the supposed "Family" section of the Lower Loft and certainly the guy who got close to the pitch came from there......hopefully those who engaged in this mindless thuggery will be identified and banned.....
If he was giving it large to Chris Ramsey then that is indeed uncalled for. CR seems a nice bloke but I didn't see any of that to really comment.
Can you get tickets in the family section if you're not taking kids? Otherwise if fans are doing that in front of theirs and others people's children, that's appauling.
I was looking forward to coming to work today, despite the result, the players and the fans did us so much credit...until that incident which is unforgiveable. From Charlie's assisting Terry to the floor and every chant being heard, I was so proud of everyone but I feel a small few let us down. Whilst this does not excuse the actions of these people, why is there seemingly nothing on the 18 year old set upon by chelsea fans, from what I have heard he isn't doing well at all. My heart and thoughts go out to him and his family.
All I heard yesterday on the stream I watched all match was John Terry you are a cnut and your family is scum I find that worse that a lighter IMO One thing I agreed with Harold was that if Terry was available then i would sign him … look at him at his age he is simply a outstanding player to me
Fair play mate. It is second hand info so I can't be sure my self but my sister is not the kind to make things up.
This was a strange one. The MOTD footage certainly shows a Chelsea official very near Chris Ramsey and giving it large. It's hard to see whether he's aiming it at CR or QPR fans beyond CR. If it was at CR he was utterly classless.
