Stick to this millennium or when most of today's fans were actually born.

So they are more of a direct rival than United, City, L'pool, Arsenal etc? In other words, they're more important to you than actual decent teams who've challenged you over the last decade?

Wow, never knew that (sorry Wats). You're perhaps not as big as I thought. I suppose the big Clubs I listed will become your rivals in time. Chelsea is after all a young club when it comes to joining the elite. You and City will get there eventually I suspect.

Think you will find it is Chelsea who have been challenging decent teams over the last decade <ok>

No its called no self control by a certain section of scumbags. Probably the same scumbags who gave Oscar and Ivan a tirade of hate and racist filth when going about ones work.
    So Pikey!

Who gave Oscar and Ivan racist filth? What race are they? Were you there in the crowd? Do you applaud politely when an opposition player is nearby?

I have to say, the way some of the QPR fans were acting was frankly pathetic. Oscar's practically a kid and the abuse he was getting down in the corner was ridiculous. Ivan likewise and throwing things at players should result in life time bans. Much in the way the idiots in Paris were dealt with.

But it's little old QPR so hardly anything will be said or done no doubt.

He's a 23-year-old international footballer. I think he can handle a few hundred people shouting at him. That's what a home crowd is for, no?

Not condoning anyone throwing a lighter or beer but if Fabregas chooses to go to that corner and give it to the fans then he's wanting that sort of reaction.

Loved how Ivan leaned back into the crowd for that throw in with all the QPR fans shouting in his ear.
Not sure why the players get so much **** there, its pathetic, Terry I can understand, but Ivan and Hazard were booed constantly aswell.
The **** has Hazard ever done to QPR?

Entirely disagree. These are players that are subjected to tirades of abuse for 90 minutes for merely doing their job and what can't give a little back when they score? If these supposed grown men can't accept a bit of banter back then they should stay at home. Throwing things like bottles and lighters is not only pathetic but dangerous. Lifetime bans, that's the only way to deal with it.

The pantomime booing was nearly as embarrassing as well. Do fans really think this does anything other than motivate the players more?

This is what I mean, Oscar had only just come on and a steward had to hold back one moron who was literally going mental at Oscar. For nothing more than being a Chelsea player it seems. These clowns need to grow the **** up. It is only a game after all.

So of Fabregas dares celebrate a goal, he deserves to have objects thrown at him.

I agree Oscar can handle a bit of abuse, for once he took a decent corner and we nearly scored from Terry's flick on to Iva

Exactly I really hate that ****.
Fans give players **** all game, yet when a player scores and gives some back, they throw their toys outta the pram.
I absolutely loved Adebayor doing his celebration to the Arsenal fans when he signed for City.
They gave him **** all game, and he told them where to stick it.

You'd think it wouldn't have an effect but in three league games and an FA cup game at Loftus Road in recent years you've been pretty dire by your standards in all four so maybe they don't like it. The players' reaction to the goal suggests the crowd got to them IMO.

As I said, not condoning it but can understand it in the situation and I think Fabregas checked his run after the goal and made a point of going over there which was a bit unnecessary. Don't think it would've been any different anywhere in an equivalent scenario. The holier than thou attitude from some is quite funny.

And the excuse rolled out by the opposing fans is often akin to, 'they get paid 100k a week blah blah blah'.

I don't care what you earn, they are paid to play football not have personal insults thrown at them for 90 minutes by no marks of which 99% wouldn't say **** to anyone outside the protection of being in a crowd.

The Adebayor thing was amazing and I'm sure the sensible Gooners had a wry smile on their faces.

Booing doesn't get to them but personal insults and vitriolic abuse probably does. They are human after all.

I just find it all rather pathetic. It's not banter, it's fat middle age men who can't handle a pint and get worked up over a football match. There is a line and it was crossed by a few R's yesterday. All very unsavoury.

And fair play to a player giving it back a bit. He didn't cross the line IMO.

And the abuse of JT's family. JT was immense and I loved his celebration at the end.
