It has been a hard days graft, but to be outside in the sun with a temperature of 23°C makes it all worthwhile. The pear and apple trees are coming into blossom and the wisteria that runs all along the side of the garden and house is bursting into colour. Tomorrow it is forecast to be warmer still, and I will soon be thinking about taking to the house for a couple of hours midday to cool off. Hope all goes well with the operation NZ. Just be sure to find something soft for her to sit on.
Morning all from a bright and sunny Bandit Country. Just waiting for the car repair man to come and pick up my car - Mrs W_Y managed to reverse into a wall on our drive the other week so it's going in for some TLC. Happy birthday to Yorkie's Mum - nice pictures on FB.
I am afraid I too reversed into our brick gatepost.. some time back... on a particularly grumpy morning with Mme in the car It is quite different in a surprising way having my mum here... a good feeling of payback.. and of course her living room we are calling the sports lounge...
Morning all, the sun is blazing away and the street light outside my house has just come on. We thought there were unusual noises going on outside, but it was only when I went to fastened back the shutters I found that it was the electricity company. Two men and a hoist have been sent out to clean the bulbs of the six lights in the village. Clearly there cannot be many total breakdowns in supply at present.
Thunderstorms forecast Friday for the whole country, with sunshine and showers for the weekend. I blame you of course.
Oh dear, how awful for you to have to weed the vineyard! I have a whole 0.05 of an acre veg patch to go over...
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IF YOU WANT WFC PROMOTED : but you may have to act before 7 45ish tomorrow evening. Approach the League, tell 'em the seasons gone on long enough, and it'll soon be time for 05/06 one to start (hoping they're no good with calendars). What they should is call it off now and automatically promote the team with MOST WINS as of now. If there happens to be,say, 3 others with one win less they should toss a coin, take penalties or play bingo for the 2 remaining places Sorry to the 3 clubs currently in the relegation places-you'll have to go. End of...and End Of Season.
Well I understand that my Master Plan wont suit you or your boys- but I do wish Norwich well in the playoffs (or whatever system is used)
Morning all. Gales and hail here last night. Because we live on a hill we get the full force of the wind. Sometimes it rains upwards, though I have yet to see that with hail. The football is unrelenting. The weekend's 'must win' fixture is over. Now we have a harder 'must win' game. I can't imagine what the players of all four (eight) teams are going through. Just one mistake from any player could be so costly for his team. And we, as helpless bystanders, have to watch.
People say it's exciting being this tight a finish, that may well be true for the neutrals, but for the fans it is completely and utterly draining, I'd have more fun having a heart attack!
