I'm with you on this one. I could almost understand if your money was halved if there was a tie for 7th, but to have your money halved for tied 2nd makes no sense to me.
Your saying that a dead heat rule comes into play when 2 players are tied for 2nd in a first 7 places bet I suggest you do your research mate, as you have no clue
Unfortunately not guy's. Anyway I'm out of here. This is getting too intelligent for me and I'm too tired to explain to non bettors and non golf bettors like Shergar.
Il try and make this simple for you. If a player finishes in a 2 way tie for 2nd. This means half your place money has finished 2nd and the other half has finished 3rd. So when there are 7 places up for grabs this means both halfs of your place bets have won. If it was a 2 way tie for 7th, then only half your bet would have won as the other half would have finished 8th and outside the places. Ties only come into play when parts of your place money have finished outside the places. I would literally bet my life that I am right on this, and you are wrong
As I again repeat it you who are wrong. Ask some of the guy's on the betting forum Shergar if you must or else just Google it.
You aren't making anything simple for me as I understand the way the betting systems work on golf already and have done for many years.
Think you have misunderstood that to be honest, the case you have shown is if the ew bet was doing a top 5 finish I think which a lot of golf tournaments are or certainly were, it wouldn't affect a tie for 2nd unless a gang of people were tied for second.
May I interject, yes Mick & Rose tied so with Powers it's a DH ie stake halved and then 1/4 of odds if EW bet.As someone said above downside betting on golf DH's kill you hence why they reel people in on the premise of paying 6 places!I backed Johnson and Mickleson EW and not worth a ****!
That was an example. It applies for ties anywhere among the places. In this instance two golfer have tied 2nd.
Finally someone who understands. You would think a pro like you Shergar would know his P's from his Q's??
I used to manage my own betting shop for over a decade pal. I know a heck of a lot more than you about golf betting rules. The rules you have posted confirm exactly what I've been telling you. You are just mis understanding them
A bookie who didn't know his golf systems...hmm . As I said Shergar , I think I have actually a big write up on one of the golf betting threads about ties if you want to learn them Shergar. There are plenty of good sites online to study them too but they do get tricky, especially if you have 3 or more tying.
