The discussion on the name change and type of banner has been moved to the banner thread.

This way, people trying to donate can find the answers to any problems they're having more easily, and the other discussions can be carried out on a more appropriate thread.

Are you still having a problem?

 

It seems mauled is having a problem getting the text to work with the image, without one spoiling the other.

Rather than spending time and resources trying to get around it, my suggestion is we go with the image alone.

I realise that wasn't the original proposal, so are people okay if he does that, and we get the banner with just the image?

 

I did wonder if it would lose impact being 6x4 as text would end up being compressed. 4x6 would possibly work better on the design, but make it impractical to display. We learnt a lot for the Cobb Morley banner.

 

Is it possible to see a mock up of the banner with and without text so that posters can decide?

 

The mock ups withot the text are the ones mauled posted previously, the mock up with the text will be similar, but with a smeared area where text would meet image.

I don't know the detail, but it's more a case of the products not working with each other, rather than the layout.

 

The idea behind using mauled 2 as to save time and money.

I've had a suggestion that we approach Barmy Flags to see what they could offer for mauled's images.

Mauled can make the image, but the text is being problematic.

Are people okay with just the image, or would you prefer me to sound out barmy flags to get the text too, even if it (possibly, not definitely) could lead to a slight delay?

It's the first time I've used this medium and it started to bleed really bad, I've cut the text off to just go with the image for this one, going forward (now I've learnt) the text hopefully will be OK

Yeah I was, but I've only been using phone for a while so I'll try later on something else and see how I get on
Alternatively I'll use the "handing some cash over in a pub" method of transferring funds!

 

That'd be good just for the novelty value. I've heard the bar staff don't know what you look like.

 

So far, we've got flags for Ian Ashby, Warren Joyce, and Mauled thinks he's got time to do one more ready for the Liverpool game.

I'll try to get the choices/votes in order to see who that third one is.

There will definitely be the Ashbee and Joyce one for the Liverpool game, hopefully a 3rd
