Did we miss Seb?

I think we missed him badly. But nothing would have changed the result we were done by pace got to give credit to crystal palace.

 

Our better players will always be a miss.

 

I was over the moon when we signed him but my mate who supports Everton rang me straight away and said dont like to tell you this mate but youve bought a turnip sadly he could be right.

 

I haven't watched MOTD yet but my recollection was that we weren't outdone by pace we just couldn't deal with the long ball pumped in by the left hand centre half - Seb would have at least had a go at closing him down after the first one cos none of the forwards were, Defoe and Wickham dropped off and Fletcher had a bit of a stroll towards him while he launched the ball toward the opposite corner of our 18 yard box - our front 3 should watch that game to see how forwards can and need to close down!

The way Rodwell dives into tackles he'd be an absolute liability at center back IMO .

 

The way Jack's played (when fit), we'd have been better keeping hold of Alfie, and spending 10m on a decent centre back.

 

Thought Alfie had a bit of presence and could put his foot in. Is he loaned out or did we sell him ?
