it would be harder for them to take, the only two heroes they've ever had involved in their relegation oh, and not to mention their best ever player scoring for Wolves in the 96th minute
Heyho, another bad day at the Office. Really think Redders needs to look at playing Montenegro somewhere & 2 up front. Antenucci is not a lone striker. And our only lone striker can't score. Time to change the formation, especially as there's nothing left to play for this season... save the chance of renewed contracts for some.
There's probably a clause that if Montenegro plays it will trigger a clause where he'll get a ten year contract or we'll have to stump up a million in bonuses
It's a clause in every players contract that we don't finish twelfth. Clueless Cnut isn't getting that £50k before he starts signing on.
The link kept cutting out Davy in the 2nd half, so I gave up trying to listen to the match and just watched the score on flashscore......other wise I'd have mentioned the score....
On that measure we have gone from marginal improvement to slight decline... Anyone got anything to say?
Well I said it would be 1-2 as it always is look at the cup ties in the 50.s 3 years in succession in the third round each match ended 1-2 with Gerry Hitchens the scorer I think he went on to play in Italy with inter I believe This season we have made many mistakes getting third rate coaches what would we have done with Howe for example the only bright spots have been Taylor Cook Mowatt Silvestri Byram and lets hope Phillips and Cooper the rest seem to be used out of postion Bamba seems to go off the boil when it was revealed that he will not be staying at ER after the end of the season which seems a pity to me . Will he wont he sell to Red Bull only he knows but he must see that to have a successful club one needs STABILITY which he fails to provide
Getting worse slowly is the current position, it could turn into a death spiral if it's not addressed in the next six weeks.
You judge too quickly. I agree that this season hasn't been good. But we lost a lot of time with Hockmadoodlegandi and the other guy. Weighed against this, we have a lot of the academy gaining a whole season's education. They will show the benefit next season if we can hold onto them. But I agree with others. Serious money offers will be hard to refuse. What we do need is, a) more experience, b) less off the field distractions, & c) someone with more experience to help Redders. Before we diss the whole season, just remember, as a club we're better off now than we've been for a long while. At least Cellino has money to put into the club. We just need him to put less of it into poor Italian misfits and more into a few with Championship/PL experience. Keep the faith one and all. In Redders I trust. MOT
Just a quick word on Montenegro, I have a pal who watches a lot of the youth games, he says he's poor and won't cut it at this level. He also states Lewis Walters is ahead of him when it comes to overall play. So maybe don't let the goals he's scoring in the reserves blind your judgement on him.
Picking up on the experience - I know some felt Warnock and Pearce were not good enough however they were both team captains this season, we have a habit of selling someone once they are made captain. Finding a decent one who could last more than a season would be a bonus. I have read this a few times
Bamba isn't getting retained it was confirmed to him two weeks ago. He is going back to Italy. As for being too quick to judge, with all due respect you might have had a point two months ago when some of you thought there were green shoots of progress to be seen. But I am afraid you were all mistaken, we were getting results our squad, tactics and performance didn't deserve. I did try to tell you. We are actually being too slow to act.
Not at all, Ill put your mind at ease. Youll be watching same garbage next season, just different actors. Never changes
Can't provide any. But his deal runs out at the end of the season and we have told him we are not looking at renewing. He is on too much money, he as brought in only to keep us up this year. Someone else will be able to find the quote confirming this from two or three weeks back. Mike mentioned it earlier today as a reason for his decline in performance.
