Also means, in the fine print, that this idea about a seven-day NHS relies upon frontline staff such as nurses losing any shift allowance. Probably thinking of putting them on zero-hours contracts, as if they're kids working at burger bars.

they are already understaffed and underpaid. Whilst members of government hire their wives and kids as personal assistants for 40k a year

Strategic defence planning must be done looking out 10, 20, 30 years into the future, not just what's the current threat. Whilst some sort of insurgent attack may be the defined threat now, who's to say that is the case in 20 or so years? Better to have the capability than to regret in hindsight.

Labour mean a return to wreckless spending, benifits Britain and a future of cuts, recession and failure.

Tories are awful too but a lesser evil. One capable of making really tough calls.

Anyone but the tree hugging hippies though. We would be fecked if the lib dems ever got in.

Mate it was the chums of the tories that left your economy in tatters not labour policy. labour's Iraq war cost you a 100 years of benefit claims, Tories will be mroe of the same

Benefits britain, spoken like a true daily mail reader <laugh> You should go read through this thread to see where all your tax is going, three places it aint going is benefits Education or the NHS.

Labour have done nothing for Burnley or the surrounding areas. Well unless you include electoral fraud.

Years ago, after the mills closed, Burnley, Nelson and Colne were thriving as market towns. Each had brilliant night life and plenty to do. Labour managed to destroy all of it. There were no jobs under a labour government. There is under tye tories though. New businesses have set up in the area. Have their headquarters here.

    The area is almost thriving.

I'm no labour supporter <laugh> Elections are an illusion of choice, if that's not obvious by now... <laugh>

Take what Labour spend on war and compare it the amount they spent on (benefits minus what Tories will decide). When you go to war, it turns your tax £ into cash for all the suppliers of the British military, who all happen to be linked in one way or another to either party OR both. <laugh>

It's pure theft and then they send the kids of the tax payers to die in a foreign country miles from home for no good ****ing reason.

I don't think the prospect of killing hundreds of thousands of people will be any more repugnant to the face of humanity in 2045 than it is now... no matter who we're hypothetically fighting.

i would say shaving each others' backs and making six-finger gloves is not really a suistanable industry, but then again, considering where you are and how close you are to Manchester....

Iraq war 2003 to 2010, estimated to be between 800 billion and 1.1 trillion cost.
