I have to say Steven Davis had an off day. He just kept giving the ball away. No one was great today but he was poor.
Just back from the game. So glad pelle scored, he really needed it and the noise im the stadium when he did was brilliant. Great pen from jwp too, very very calm. Played poorly though but a win and results from today make it a cracking saturday.
Poor game, great result. I'll take that. And grgreat to see Pelle & JWP on the score sheet. All this and spurs got beat. Oh happy day!
I'd be interested to see some stats on chance conversion in the two halves of the season. It seems to me that everything we hit last year went in and if the same had happened today we'd have won by five and not worried about the performance at all. Regardless, JWP and the Big Man on the score sheet is wonderful.
Just got in from Sunderland game. The pace of CP really tore Sunderland apart. We need all our speed merchants for that game. Pelle should get at least one goal. Sunderland players passing randomly to spaces, only came alive in last couple of minutes.
Just back from the game. Wow, that was so so poor. Shows how important the first goal is, (especially against a team low on confidence fighting relegation). We suddenly had so much space after the penalty and despite still generally playing poorly, we could have scored 3 or 4 after that. Morgan and Yoshida were our best players for me. Davis and Long had particularly poor first halfs. Will be interested to see the Pelle yellow again, thought he was going to get sent off at the time, though it looked accidental from where I was sat.
Glad to hear it! It looked like he just had eyes for the ball, despite suffering a fair few clatterings.
Still on way home. Wife driving though as she went shopping in Winchester, which meant I could have a pint over dinner with my Dad. The Cricketers in Easton, near Kings Worthy. Very nice food and the lady behind the bar was a Hull fan.
