Following Easter Monday's 0-3 win over Kidderminster Harriers that is just three games to go of the 2014/15 Vanarama Conference Lee Mansell tells us that the changing room is 'buzzing' ahead of this weekend's tie with Southport.

"The boys are in a fantastic mood after a great performance against Kidderminster and we keep the pressure on Barnet.

"We thought they were going to get all three points against Dartford and they did so we went into the game knowing that we were four points behind them and we showed the character that we've got as a squad to get the three points.

"The first half against Kidderminster wasn't great but I think we scored three fantastic goals in the second half and we deserved the win.

Ellis Harrison was on the scoresheet twice at Aggborough Stadium on Monday and Mansell told us that he thinks Ellis has been brilliant all year.

"From what I gathered about Ellis [Harrison] in previous years had potentially hasn't been everyone's favorite player but this season he has proved what a fantastic lad and fantastic talent he is.

"He has got us 13 goals this season with most of them from the bench but he came in Monday and proved that he can score goals when he starts matches.

"It is part of my job as one of the more experienced lads to keep his feet on the ground but he is a great kid and he will be important to us over these last three games I'm sure.

Rovers took over 2,600 Gasheads to Kidderminster on Monday and Lee said that he is so impressed with their support this season.

"Words cannot describe our supporters, taking over 2,600 people on an Easter Monday is truly phenomenal for any football club. If you look at some Premier League teams, they wouldn't take a following liek that to an away game.

"They [the supporters] were absolutely magnificent from start to finish on Monday and I think that if we continue that into the Southport game and then onto Dover it makes a huge difference to us on the pitch.

"The support we have received this year has just been brilliant and as a group of players we just cannot thank them enough.

Chris Lines talks about the last three games

After an impressive 0-3 win over Kidderminster, Bristol Rovers go into their last three games of the season full of confidence and Chris Lines told us that all of the pressure is on table topping Barnet.

"All we can do is keep winning our games, in the our last few games not only have we been winning but we have been winning comfortably.

"We just need to pick up all nine points in these remaining games and then whatever happens next will happen.

"We are winning games by three or more goals and Barnet are scraping 1-0's, I don't know if they've been dominating games because I haven't been watching them but the pressure is all on them.

"They might have looked at the score at half time on Monday hoping that Kidderminster could do them a favor but we came out in the second half and I feel deservedly got a goal to get things going.

"I don't think Kidderminster created anything against us Monday and it was one of those games where you feel comfortable on the pitch because I never thought they were going to score.

Ellis Harrison has been branded a 'super sub' by many but score two goals at Aggborough on Monday after starting the game and Chris Lines is happy for him.

"I'm buzzing for Ellis, he is one of my best mates at the club and I'm sure he doesn't want to get the tag as a good sub.

"I think he proved on Monday that he is good enough because I don't think Kidderminster could handle him.

"He has had to wait his turn the past couple of weeks with Jermaine [Easter] coming back into the team but I think he definitely took his chance on Monday to show everyone what he can do.

Things seem to be clicking on and off the field for Rovers and Chris thinks the bond between players and supporters is fantastic.

"These supporters are always unbelievable at this Football Club and Monday was the same.

"I could tell that the team spirit here was brilliant when I came back into the club and that is why the lads have done so well this season.

"There is a great buzz about the place not only between the players but with the supporters as well and this is the right time of season to get on a good run like this.

    Looking at the penalty stats...
Top 4 teams in the league: 1st Barnet, 2nd Rovers, 3rd Grimsby & 4th Maccs.
    Barnet 17 pens awarded.
    Rovers 8 awarded.
    Grimsby 6 awarded.
    Maccs 3 awarded.
2nd, 3rd & 4th combinded = 17 pens, the same as what Barnet have got on there own!!

    Suspicious.

So it would appear that Martin Allen and his coaching staff have worked out a system of how to take advantage of defences who are not much cop.
It seems to me we should learn from his expertise.

Interesting to read that one of our fishy friends believes that we are 'arrogant' and that this could ultimately be our downfall ! I know it is always hard when you are 'inside the camp' so to speak but I haven't really experienced all season long a feeling of arrogance towards this league.

The Barnet forum follows this 'they are arrogant' tack. They seem to think that Gasheads believe that we have some godgiven right to win promotion because we are the best supported team in the division (by a country mile).
I don't think that is the case.
We will respect whoever wins the Championship and the playoffs by the teams' performance on the pitch!!
Most of us just happen to believe it will be the Gas.

    Edit.
And before others believe we will be the richest club around this division and should achieve success. In all probability all the extra cash from our extra large attendances will probably find its way into the pockets of the legal beavers fighting Sainbury's perceived renege on the monies to build our new stadium.

Also interesting to read locally that Tesco's have just shelled out approximately nine million pounds, six to Sedgemoor and three to Somerset councils for their shelving of the supermarket in Bridgwater. I wonder if and when the compo thing comes in to play in our bit of business with Sainsburys a} Will we receive a similar type of sum and b} what will it be spent on ?

I think Barnet fans seen the thread from another forum - gashead.org. I was reading over there the over day and cringed when I read this thread.... http://www.gasheads.org/thread/2690/extra-points-massive-away-support

EDIT! When I read that thread the other day, there was no replies yet from anyone. Since I last seen it, its been confirmed the author is a Barnet fan who joined that forum pretending to be a gashead, made a thread making our fans look like dicks (no jokes please reds ;)) and he then makes a thread on his own Barnet forum saying our fans believe we should get extra points blah blah blah. What a prat.

The Manager takes a look at Saturday's opposition

First up in Bristol Rovers last three games of the 2014/15 campaign is Southport with Darrell expecting a difficult game out of the Conference Premier's 19th placed club.

"They [Southport] beat Dagenham & Redbridge in the FA Cup so it is pretty clear that they can raise themselves for big games and this Saturday is going to be a massive game.

"They were on an unbeaten run of six games before losing their last two games to Altrincham and Telford respectively so they have been on good form and know what it's like to put a run together.

"Their manager Paul [Carden] will get his side very organised and they will be relishing the challenge of playing in front of over 8,000 supporters.

"Every game we go into we are expected to win and we have had that all season long and I think we've dealt with that well the whole season so I think it puts us in a good position coming into these last three games.

Tickets for Rovers remaining fixtures at the Memorial Stadium are hot property right now and Darrell told us that the support that the Bristol Rovers faithful offer the course of the season has been second to none.

"It's been a very tough season for our supporters and they have backed us in huge numbers and we want them to do that on Saturday.

"When they come to home matches some of the fans seem tense and we want them to get behind the boys from the start and be the driving force in getting out of this league.

It could be quite a 'tasty' match against Southport tomorrow.

According to last Sunday's Non-League Paper they've had more yellow cards (76)
than any other Conference side this season.

And they've got 3 players in the top 5 offenders!
    Luke Foster 14Y
    Luke George 13Y
    Richard Brodie 9Y 2R

Of course this was before Monday's's game.......when Wes Beesley was sent off!

So socks rolled up, shin pads on...and let's hope we have a good referee!!!!

Brodie's played in the League, so he's a decent striker. But I think they were turned over by Telford recently, so it's probably a case of which Southport turns up. I've no worries about our lads, particularly now Harrison's hit form.

Who do we start up front with?

    Easter is back.
    Harrison on form.
    Blissett needs a goal.
Taylors workrate and will get you a goal.

I would be tempted to play Easter, Harrison and Taylor. Bench Blissett.

Harrison and Taylor can do the business... bring on Easter or Blissett if it's not working...

We have to win all three to stand a chance. Easter (if fit) and Harrison up front to start.

If we lose vs Southport, I blame Baldee. Been gone for ages (and look where we are in the table) and now he reappears, if we lose we know its his fault ;)

Great to see you around these parts again Baldee. Missed you buddy <hug> How you been?

Fine but knackered - too much campaigning and reading the National Planning Policy Framework and other planning bollocks.

I hope to god I'm not a jinx - if we lose or draw tomorrow I shall disappear again until we win the playoffs!

As I will not be there today please give the lads a cheer from me.
When we have been awarded a penalty how many of the opposition have been sent off and when Barnet have been awarded a penalty how many have been sent off

I will leave that to Gastro as he has done some good research on the Barnet pens, so he may have that answer already <ok>
