That first one about the dressing room split is interesting. No doubt Redfearn's selection policy and continued faith in his academy babies and the British contingent will alienate the foreigners, but we had to do something to keep us up and it worked in that respect, as we were dropping like a stone before he made the change.

Whilst I do understand their annoyance at being overlooked, if they can't handle being backup to players in generally decent form then I don't want them at the club. Whooping with delight at a member of staff, one who helped transform the defence and got us on a decent run of form, getting sacked? Doesn't sit too well with me. Clearly they care more about themselves than they do about the team, and I have no interest in supporting players who don't care about the team.

There was always going to be cliques developing in the squad, you can't sign as many foreigners/Italian speaking players in one go and not expect them to form their own tight-knit group away from the British/English speaking players. Cellino should've anticipated that when signing such a large number of them.

The thing I'd be most interested to know is where the first team foreigners fit into this divide, the likes of Silvestri, Bellusci, Bamba and, to an extent, Berardi and Antenucci. Thompson definitely had a hand in transforming the defence, so you would assume Silvestri and the two CBs would've been gutted to lose him, but maybe their affiliation was aligned with the foreign contingent? The whole thing is a mess.

Apparently there were players who went and complained about the way Thommo was treated, given the way he supposedly talked to Salerno it wouldn't be surprising but, it does depend on what the treatment, or undeserved treatment was.
