Its asking too much for Chester to come straight back in even if he's our best defender. Harper is going to play but for me it's a big gamble as Mcgregor is much the better keeper
Nah Chester is pure class, he can step straight in no problem. A half fit James Chester is still better than all our other CBs barring possibly Dawson. Agree on the McGregor thing, even though he's made too many basic errors and must be replaced for next season he is the best we have available at the moment.
Rubbish, there are 60 first team goalkeepers in the Premier League, he isn't the worst at all. If that's your definition of a country mile, I suggest you don't go hiking in the moors by yourself.
McGregor Elmo Chester Dawson Robertson -------------Huddlestone-------------------- ---Livermore-----------------Quinn--------- -----------------Diame------------------------ --------N'Doye---------Hernandez--------- Revert back to the diamond. We might be defensively weak, but we will score goals and that is exactly what is needed.
Diame will not start - guaranteed. I doubt Chester will either. As for Hernandez he is a worse signing than Proschwitz. 10 million is a complete joke
if McGregor starts tomorrow and makes another howler, which is 80% a guarantee, Bruce will be kicking himself. there again if Harper comes in and makes similar mistakes to the ones McGregor has made this season, which is a very low chance. McGregor is (without a doubt) the worst keeper (1st choice) in the PL. if you can name me a worse one, please go ahead. I would start Ndoye up front on his own tomorrow and use our wingers to the left and right of him, because lumping the ball up to Ndoye and Hernandez is looking abit obvious now
For once I think you might have a point here. You look at the way Palace, with worse squad than us, use the wings and wonder why we can't do something similar.
An unnecessary call, as would McShane at RB; Rosie is our natural RB and Macca, never mind SB, knows that. No pals, no plaudits; the best eleven, nothing else. Injuries have been debilitating, but tomorrow is the day for them' s that care. I hope they all do - I can take whatever, as long as they show me they do. That's football, not anything else that you and who you are; Hull City AFC and proud of it. UTT.
I'm not too sure, Vern; can you throw some stats at me so I can see where you're coming from. I do think he is the best we have.
I read tigerpants54 as meaning the wingers in an advanced position with a midfield three and a back four. As opposed to having them a bit deeper in a 442.
Aye I got that, PLT. We have waited for so long to have 2 strikers and we still struggle to give them any form of continuity. Play N'Doye and Hernandez and let them be strikers, give wingers/wing-backs something to play to, give the attacking midfield (sic) something to come through. Let's take the remaining games with some belief, some pride. No knee-jerk selections, let the right ones earn their coin. Just an opinion.
Yeah it's an opinion I've shared for most of the season but with Jelavic injured I don't think we've got two strikers worth playing.
The other option is worse and unnecessary. A random goal, or, more importantly, just taking some attention off N'Doye so he can shine, as we have seen he can. Leave him in there on his own and you might as well play Aluko and keep N'Doye injury free. Feint heart never won anything.
