Mauritius for myself and the wife this year, already done a cheap one to Tunisa and finish off with Corfu in October
I will be holidaying in Shirley, Southampton for one month this summer. Can I get a decent cup of tea?
Not seen Cyprus suggested yet. I went for the first time last Summer and I'm heading back there again this year. Absolutely gorgeous island, some brilliant Greek ruins to explore, perfect beaches and clear-blue water. There's also Ayia Napa if you want that from your holiday; Famagusta and parts of the Turkish Republic in the North of the island are definitely worth a visit.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-2015-32243680 A Conservative government would offer up to 15 million workers three days' paid leave a year for volunteering. Under the party's plans, a new law would be passed requiring public sector employers and companies with more than 250 employees to give staff up to three days a year to do voluntary work. What a **** idea.
Have you heard the Greens idea? Max 35hrs a week working hour and min £8-10ph. I am sure companies will do that....
I'm sure a lot of companies could afford that.... Maybe there would need be some kind of concessions for smaller businesses. Also bare in mind it's not simply a case of: paying more wages directly leads to reduced profits. If they pay higher wages, people have more disposable income, and thus are more likely to spend more money therefore they would get (in theory) increased sales which could result in increased profits. This would probably need to be implemented quite widely for it to have a positive impact... and obviously I don't have the stats to back it up, but that is how I imagine it could work and/or would be the Green's arguments. It's important to consider the bigger picture and not just look at it simplistically or in a black and white manner (I'm looking at you Labour with your stupid talk about millionaires tax cuts) - not saying you are, btw.
Problem is every party has **** policies. The conservative that's tax the poor and sick is just as mad.
No party will admit to the amount of cuts they're going to have to make. Don't trust Labour on the economy either.
Cameron has said they will give each employee 3 days paid days off for voluntary work , that's been in place for ages where I work .
Wife has family in Mo Bay, Falmouth and Kingston. Enjoy my favourite global dish while you're there..... Curry Goat
