It's a good job the FA rejected the name change. <ok>

I've decided I'm gonna renew anyway, no matter what the division. I'm going to be at Hull Uni next year, so I'll have all my weekends free to go to all the away games (could get pricey if we go down...) and home games, my aim is to go to all 38/46 games next season. I've never done a full season home and away before, but I can afford it now so what the hell, this will be my year.

    Good on you, enjoy
However I don't think renewing "no matter what the division" is the issue. It's more about renewing "no matter what the name"!
I'll renew regardless of the division as long as the name hasn't changed
I won't renew, regardless of the division, if the name has changed

Proud of everything except the name of what it is you're proud of. Wonderful.

I gave it due consideration and while I'd be deeply pissed off if the name did change, my support for the XI lads on the pitch shouldn't suffer because of one mindless arsehole. I'll make my feelings on the subject known vocally in the stadium, but I still want to watch my football team play.

James Mooney has assured us we can all have a refund if we change the name anyway.

Though I'm not sure his boss knows about it yet.

We'll find out when the ticket details are released on Monday.

That video is eerily similar to the CTWD video produced last year. A sort of compliment I suppose.

He assured me I would get an answer from the club to explain something to me
Sadly he was an able to deliver
    We'll see
However it's classic "nudge" theory in any case. Tell people to renew and you can get your money back later and it is proven the vast majority won't bother to do ask for it back. Once a decision has been made most people stick to it regardless

You could always buy using the monthly option. If the name changes you stop the standing order, unless you want to support Hull Tigers.

Very true, it's the same psychology behind companies giving out free trials.

I hate all this 'real fan' nonsense. One thing I will say is you cannot call yourself a Hull City fan if you don't want us to be called Hull City.

I wonder what the price will be? Although unless they drop this name change ****,it won't matter to me.

Talking of prices, you might be a rich and successful businessman Doc,but you'll never have enough money to tempt me to support a club called anything other than Hull City afc !

I think our kind, pleasant owners, are going to use the missing £200K to subsidise our season cards.
Oh no sorry, they are a pair of ****s.

    Immediately followed by...

    <laugh>

I was quite clearly taking the piss, it IS a stupid point, and its usually made, without jest, by the Antis. Who also, for obvious reasons, don't seem to understand when it's used as a piss take.

I am currently a Hull City AFC fan, if the name changes I will support the same team with a new name, rejoicing at being there at another point of the long history of the football club from Hull.

My point with the 'real fan' is people saying I'm more of a fan because ... (which is what you implied) what I'm saying is from what I've seen you post you don't seem to be bothered about 'Hull City' the name so how can you look someone in the eye and say I'm a Hull City fan.

I can never tell when you're taking the piss, I'd like to think 95% of you're posts are taking the piss.

Fair enough about supporting the team whatever they are called that's your opinion and I'm sure there are many others who feel the same way, but you seem to want Hull Tigers that is my issue you come across as actively for Hull Tigers rather than in the not interested either way group.
