Hull City supporters demand answers on away fans money With only three away fixtures to go fans of Hull City have yet to receive any news from the club on how the remainder of their Away Fans Initiative (ASI) budget is to be spent. For the 2014-15 season, the Premier League clubs collectively agreed to set aside £200,000 each for the Away Fans Initiative. Across the 20 clubs we’ve seen this money being used in various ways – but most commonly to subsidise away ticket prices and travel to away games. However, Hull City Supporters’ Trust claim the club has only spent around £20,000, on travel subsidised by the club to their away game against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. Now the Trust have written to the Premier League in search of answers: Fans of Hull City AFC have so far been unable to see where the money from the ASI fund has been spent this season. The club has confirmed that it subsidised travel costs of some fans to the game at Arsenal, although this was not announced at the time. We believe this action will have expended no more than £20,000, leaving the majority of the ASI Fund unaccounted for. Erm how did HCST meet up with club representatives before the start of the season? Did the season start after Dec when you were formed? You discovered the secret of time travel?
I really do believe the most ardent supporter of James Mooney needs to think of him as an Allam employee and not as a victim. This total silence from him is inexcusable, from our point of view, but probably very reasoned from his. Perhaps FWG members should reconsider their attendance; it would be a damn shame, but some form of response is now due. As a matter of interest, there was a very strong feeling, in the build up to Xmas, that the club was to be sold - is that still the case? Are there any rumours? I will automatically discount anything from the Allam family, as nothing they say (when they do) can be believed.
That should obviously be FWG, not HCST, but you'll have to take it up with the Football Supporters Federation, we obviously didn't write the article.
Unless he gets around £60 million for the club he won't be selling. I suspect that the two offers he's got are no where near that figure. Another thing, he wouldn't be selling the SMC to the Council if he'd have had a serious bid. I don't think James Mooney is a victim. He's an employee that does what he's told, no more no less. If he's been told to keep his mouth shut, shut it'll remain.
Has he got two offers? Lots and lots of guesswork on the back of what, the word of a liar? How serious do you believe (or realistic) the £1 offer was? Could it just have been another barb? Good, that's cleared up; he's an employee who is doing his job, implementing their marketing and communication business plan, of which he is the manager - perhaps he can be treated as one now, rather than the voice of the club who is trying to do the right thing but his boss will not let him.

He sells the SMC for a £1 and collects £6 million from the Council. Plus the Council pay off the RBS mortgage of nearly £2 million. In the future all structural repairs will be done by the council rather then him. How serious do you think the offer was? I never said Mooney was trying to do the right thing. I said he had no responsibility for the message. He helps when he can and feels in the mood, like the flags and mirrors in the toilets. Personally I think Assem Allam wants out, but only when he's got his money back. Unfortunately for him he's finding, like Bartlett did before him, that getting to the Premier League is the easy bit. Once there it costs a fortune to stay.
I don't know why you keep repeating this Obi, there's absolutely zero chance of the council taking up those liabilities, not a chance in hell.
Everything that needs to be said about the ASI has been said, I am, like everyone, waiting for a response from the club. No, just for clarity, I am not happy about the way the fund has been used, but before I start sharpening my pitchfork, I'd like to wait to see what the club says about it. It's not simply a mistake in the article, it's either the FSF have been given duff info, or, they just make stuff up. That's not a typo, it's a statement that is flat out wrong. One I'm surprised no one from HCST has told FSF to correct.

They were only sent a copy of our letter to the Premier League, the exact wording was - To put this in context, representatives of Hull City first discussed this with supporters at a Fans Working Group (FWG) meeting in August last year, at which the overwhelming view of those present was that the money should be spent on reducing ticket pricing. - they made a mistake, though I doubt anyone but you gives a **** about it. Feel free to point out their error should you wish.
Totally agree; it's hypothetical nonsense for the sake of it and Allam knows it, as does HCC, but they have to give it lip-service. If HCC did go-ahead with it I think they would see a huge protest within their ranks and throughout the city - it would be financial and political lunacy. I personally believe the whole discussion about the FA accepting stand/stadium renovations/enhancements as an acceptable ASI spend just as daft. I sincerely hope the HCST have got a better take on all of this than some on here - to be fair, I have seen nothing on here to think otherwise.
I didn't ask you to repeat, again, the machinations of how you think it would work, I asked you if you think it was a serious offer, as opposed to a tongue-in-cheek one. I take it the answer is no, then.
