People who have played the game at any kind of decent level will understand how dangerous that tackle was. Sure, you can do that in sunday league, but at competitive level, tackling from behind using 2 legs is a crazy tackle to make in the box. If he made that same tackle at st james park, the ref would have gave it, 1 million percent.

Confirmed mag. You said Vergini never won the ball first which is incorrect that's not what's in question. He clearly won the ball but the debate is about the follow through afterwards as people seem to think he carried on through the player with his feet raised.

Pen or no pen, Sunderland would have won that game. You won 1-0 but I'm sure if you had to find another goal, Newcastle wouldn't have finished like they did, they've have bent over and got what was due. I think the ref had a decent game, good to see there was no theatrics or silly sendings off to spoil the game.
