I'll be waking up early to see this so, please, more of the same that was the Malaysian GP please, not a re-run of the Aussie GP!
What we'd like to know is...
Can the Finger poke the eye of the Merc's again?
Or will the lower track temps suit the Mercs and return them to their dominant ways?
Can the McHonda's continue to progress?
Can I come up with anymore obvious questions?
    I still can't believe it ain't butter!

I'm expecting a huge response from Mercedes at this race track. Hope I'm wrong and we get another great race.

    But, Easy Lewis win.

Hamilton win I think. It will be a good sign for the season if Ferrari are within 15 seconds, it's the kind of gap they could potentially close and be challenging Mercedes later on. If Mercedes are 30 seconds clear I'll be gutted.

I'm going to keep my 100% record thanks.

But it will surely be Lewis, Ferrari will be closer than Aussie but Ferrari keeps surprising us all so might not be a cakewalk.

It will be exciting if Rosberg puts pressure on Hamilton and by that I mean getting his elbows out rather than him being a second behind Hamilton the whole race and then saying he drove like a world champion. If Rosberg is ahead of Hamilton at the start then it might be a better show.

Feeling a Rosberg pole and a very close race between the two. Last year didn't show it, but it's somewhat of a Rosberg specialist track, especially in qualifying.
I've went for a Hamilton win for safety, but Rosberg wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

If Rosberg gets put into the shade again, at one of his better tracks, then we cen say, with a bit more certainty, that he'll be Hamilton's play thing for the rest of the year.. what will piss him off even more is if Vettel manages to get inbetween them..
Do hope its a 4 way battle with the Mercs and Ferrari's throughout the GP, maybe with the Williams not too far behind, would be nice...

Going for Hamilton but I haven't got one right yet this season. Given the accuracy of my predictions expect a crushing win for Gianni Morbidelli.

I know it's very early, but it's looking like normal service resumed. Mercedes miles out in front right now.

    Just a bit.

I know it's only fp1 and teams probably have a good whack left in the engine to turn up, but so will Merc.

    Ominous.

The cynical side of me might say the updated fuel flow regs have caught a certain team in red out, (The team rumored to be the ones that the FIA spotted something concerning) but they were fairly comfortably second quickest team, they were pushing with what they had and still were a second off Hamiltons fastest time.

I love the poll question, very Ann Robinson, but I'm confused as to why the drivers have all turned Japanese ;)

Vettel closing the gap slightly at the end was a little more promising. Anyone know how old those tyres were by that point? Raikkonen was only 4/10ths ahead of Ricciardo too - Red Bull are apparently 40km/h on the straights and, in my opinion, Ferrari have a better chassis this year. I'd expect Ferrari to be a second faster than Red Bull, hopefully they were holding something back in that session.

Well, I'm going to stick my neck out and predict a Hamilton win. Btw, on the poll shouldn't Nico's entry read 'Rosberg San-itary'? <doh>

They almost look impressive when you consider they were 5 seconds off pole in Australia, they are now easily in and around the midfield, fighting with Lotus with the Mercedes engine....on a track with the longest straight!

The thing that is most obvious with them though is just how much they still have to improve, just need to listen to them on track, it sounds like a bag of nails in a washing machine off throttle

Their positivity is starting to look less and less silly every race, not so many people laughing now i think

"Just because Ferrari have won a race already this year doesn't mean I made the wrong decision to leave and drive for McLaren" said Fernando, as he walked onto the main straight, sobbing slightly.

"Tell my wife I love her" he added.
