@PJBuckingham: Hull City v Liverpool rescheduled for Tuesday 28 April. Four of #hcafc's last five PL games now at the KC Stadium.

Those four games are Liverpool, Arsenal, Burnley and Man Utd (with a Spurs away game sandwiched in there).

With Arsenal being on the Monday, I'm surprised we didn't request the Wednesday to give ourselves a day longer to prepare for it after the Palace away game the weekend before it).

Lets hope Liverpool start losing on purpose to avoid being in the Europa League as finishing 5th/6th will give them that disadvantage when going for the top 4 the following season.

That would also mean they'd have to lose the FA Cup final on purpose to avoid Europa league which ain't gonna happen
Also there's a decent increase in TV money next year

No team is going to lose on purpose, Europa league or not.

    What a ridiculous notion.

Good. In fact other than Arsenal no other team we have to play is anywhere near where they can be. The season appears to have caught up with those clubs who have little left to play for.

Our fate rests in our own hands. No more mistakes ala Swansea.

In our last six home games we've got 10 points, in our last six away games we've got 2. <doh>

We have the best chance of picking up points at home in the following order; Burnleh, Liverpool, Utd, Arsenal.

We beat Liverpool last season easily, and stopped them from scoring at Anfield this season. That together with our performance against Chelsea should give everyone belief we can get something from them.

United might just be on the beach for the last game, so wo knows but if we need something from that, the pressure would be increadible.

If we don't beat Burnleh, we don't deserve to stay up.

I'm not so sure, the likelihood is that Burnley will have more to play for still at that point and will make it very difficult for us to score.

Adversely, the other 3 are much more likely to play an open attacking game against us and although that increases the likelihood of them scoring it should also improve our chances, as in the Chelsea and Man City home games this season. The big question will be whether we can score as many or even more than they do.

It's not as stupid as you might think. FFP will only impact on teams competing in Europe hence it has been worked out that Inter would financially and performance wise be better off next season if they dont qualify for the Europa League, as their squad numbers wont be impacted on if they dont qualify. I'm not suggesting Liverpool are in this boat, but it definitely applies to some teams.

The sanctions would only apply to the EL anyway. For a team like Inter Minan (I assume that's who you mean by 'Inter') who are used to competing in European competition they could just use it as an opportunity to blood half the upcoming development team and give the squad players a decent run out.

I meant Internazionale. Inter is the commonly used shorter version.

I did assume so, I wasn't sure if you were talking about Inter Turku or Inter Baku.

A bit like me saying FC would be better off missing out on the Europa League, if you see what I mean.

Not it isnt, not even slightly. There must be thousands of football clubs with FC in their name.

Do you think Manchester will finish 2nd?
