....and a bit of Pumpkins in memory of probably my favourite evening posting tunes on here A night I'm sure he remembered fondly too Good luck on the next leg of your journey Dave
The only interactions I had with dave were him having a go at me but he was a part of this board and it's a board I enjoy posting on. Our community is made up of all sorts and it's worth remembering despite any arguing that we all like having this place and it's each of the other posters that make it. RIP mate.
I always wondered whether he actually listened to them at all that night I suspect not all Pumpkins stuff were particularly his cup of tea.......talking of which....we used to PM about bands and music on occasion and I feel it's only right if I post something I could never pursuade him to like, he said they were "a bit too Irish sounding" I sense he will be shaking his head at this one....but then I already know he did that with many of my tunes anyway so tradition demands it
We used to do the same and it was rare that we agreed on music but it was fun to talk about it and try to convince someone that a band was good, the only one I ever managed to blow him away with was the track I posted last night.
Dave posted this song on the thread a couple of times, said it was his favourite Dubliners song. Maybe because it was because it was about the sea as well as his native Liverpool.
I posted this last year I think...Dave described it as "interesting". They are a local band from Shrewsbury
Specially for Dave. I remember telling him to just press play and dont judge the name of the song or the thumbnail. He did and replied those lads are geniuses. It showed him as much of a republican/ fenian whatever else he wanted to call me that if we couldnt laugh at ourselves we may as well give up. Foredeckdave hes in the 'ra
