Well, that's an unexpected revelation, personally, I have never as far as I can remember, knowingly deleted, or avoided any user name, article, comment, or post. This Not606 forum is the very best that I've been on and as you say the moderation is first class and allows the like's of me to meander my way through, virtually expressing my thoughts as I see fit, whether my opinions are agreeable to others is irrelevant, sometimes they are, sometimes we differ. On this particular subject concerning Murdoch's rotten ****ing empire, it's not surprising that most, if not all agree that what's going on is unlawful and must stop and all those involved brought to book. I suggest you reveal your identity and join in the conversation's then you will soon realise this is not a self appreciating society, incidentially why do you feel the need multiple identities, as this action could indicate you may prefer subversive activity, a bit like Murdoch.
Evidence going missing, well how convenient, computers, servers destroyed, what the **** are the police and the fraud squad doing, Cameron is a complicit ****.
Of course heis, because it was under him that the first "Inquiry" happened , which tried to sweep eveything under the carpet...oh wait no it wsn't it was under labour who spent 13 years with their heads stuck up murdochs arse to get his support, and who like with the economy , have left a mound of **** for the Tories and lib dems to deal with , while conving the terminally stupid , that they had nothing to do with it and it was all the tories fault. Good to see you did not fall for that! Oh and the Tories would not even have been deciding the take over of this if it werent for the fact the ming I want to shag young pussy , so I will play up to them like a little school boy campbell, was caught on tape being about as impartial as 12 KKK members in a trial of a black man ! ffs
Fevriul, no one said New Labour weren't in up to their necks with Murdoch, it's common knowledge. That's part of the problem, both parties had to cosy up to get elected and this went on for decades. I bitterly resent that a foreign media baron dictates government and policy in our nominally democratic nation. There is now a perhaps unique opportunity to end this corrupt situation but will Cameron have the balls to take it? As for the rest of your post: ??????
Cameron is a good PM in my opinion. I have voted Conservative since 07(As I used to vote Labour, but Iraq War disgraced me) and I think they do a good job.
No doubt, yet in his press conference he bleated about WMD reports and Ecclestone's donations instead of answering for himself and his own party. It's very worrying when a PM behaves like a child. You have to wonder to what lengths the relationship between NI (Coulsen) and the Tories (Cameron) enabled information gathering before the election. On another point, it's alleged that phone hacking was still practiced at NI as late as 2009.
@ Max Whiplash The take over of bskyb was to have been decide by Ming Campbell, he got caught on tape boasting about how he was going to war with mudoch, when trying to chat up too good looking women undercover reporters! Watching Ed pop eye miliband acting as if labours **** smells like mountain dew, when all this rubbish happened under them is ****ing galling! I have been reading private eye for the last 13 years so I know what labour have done, **** things up and yet again let others clean up their mess.
Been an avid fan of Private Eye magazine since early 60s and Richard Ingram, William Rushton. Not sure though that there is a fundamental idealistic difference between any political party nowadays, they are to me, mostly only there for self interest and self gain. .
In camerons defence, considering what labour has done, all he did was hire someone to be his press secretary, what he's responsible for what someone is alledged to have done 5 years ago? Labour was in bed with murdoch for 13 straight years. As for harriet harmon http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...riet-Harmans-future-question-axed-debate.html
Absolutely - they all have the same personal objectives and that crushes any sense of public service in all of them. Not many of them have hired someone like Coulson, though, despite being warned of his complicity in illegal activities, to be Director of Communications. In fact it amounts to, oh... one of them, I think. Fortunately Cameron unequivocally accepted full responsibility for putting Coulson in a position of immense power at the heart of the government of this country so if Coulson is convicted of crimes perpetrated before Cameron employed him that he was warned about then obviously Cameron will have to resign. His judgement will be in such doubt that his position will be completely untenable. All governments make mistakes but it was just very sad to see the current Prime Minister flailing and lashing out at utterly irrelevant mistakes made by the previous government instead of answering for the current government. Perhaps Cameron's just in awe of George Osborne and the high life he leads.
Fevriul, As I said, both Labour and the Tories have been in bed with Murdoch for decades. The much-maligned-by-Murdoch Lib-dems have not. My point is that Cameron is currently in power and so has the opportunity to take the bull by the horns and end Murdoch's excessive and wholly impertinent influence on British politics. As genji says, so far he's been deflecting attention, playing for time and not grasping the nettle. Milliband's job is to chivvy him and to expose when the PM isn't tackling the situation because he is the Leader of the Opposition: that's his current job. I'm trying to be objective here: Cameron is in power and it is his responsibility to act swiftly, decisively and correctly, all the more so as he is already tarnished by Coulson.
I'm getting really pissed off with NotW staff's self-congratulatory stiff upper lip dignity in the face of adversity. Bearing in mind this rag exists for the sole purpose of profit at other people's pain, comments like the following turn my stomach: Alan Edwards (chief sub-editor): "It's a bunch of hard working, talented, honest, decent journalists up there, who have lost their jobs through no fault of their own. We are like a family up there and there's very much that feel that we're all pulling together." Colin Myers (editor): "It's a very sad day. I'm thinking about my team of talented journalists." Jamie Lyons (deputy politcal editor: "All #NOTW staff at their desks despite losing our jobs 2 days ago. Says all you need to know about their professionalism, pride & integrity" Apparently the police are going to seal NotW offices as a crime scene once the scumbags have gone home. Estimated sales of tomorrow's edition are up 30%. That will show how low the British public is as its indignation at the hacking of Milly Dowler's phone is shrugged off to grab a souvenir copy of the final edition of biggest blight on society the world has seen.
This is the real problem with notGreat Britain. I want to say more but I am sick to the teeth with the multi-faceted exploitation of the masses by British politicians. Between them, they have sold this country down the line in so many fundamental ways for the past 40 years or so that to pick on a few examples seems trivial. It is patently obvious that Scotland Yard are moving deliberately slowly enough, and that any further embarrassing misdemeanours which reflect upon Police involvement will not be discovered. I was serious when I suggested earlier in this thread (or a similar one) that we actually need some sort of revolution; but the establishment is so effective here that it's impossible to see how it would ever happen. The political system in the UK is rotten to the core.
I think there could be some type of mini-revolution. If Murdoch gets Sky then I'm sure there'll be street protests. What's incredible is that people are only just waking up to the fact that, for the past 30 years, this country has been a dictatorship.
