Simon Luc Hildebert Mignolet (Dutch pronunciation: [simɔn miɲɔlɛ]; born 6 March 1988) is a Belgian professional footballer who plays for English club Liverpool and the Belgium national team as a goalkeeper.
Mignolet started his career with Belgian Second Division side Sint-Truiden in 2004, and spent six years with the club, making 100 senior league appearances. He moved to Premier League side Sunderland in June 2010[3] for £2 million, spending three years with them and making 90 appearances, before moving to Liverpool in June 2013 for £9 million.[4]
Mignolet has also represented the Belgian national football team at every level from the Under 16s upwards. He made his full international debut in 2011, and has since gone on to make fourteen further appearances for his national side.

Every player have good and bad times,. Recently Simon Mignolet has been brilliant

If not for him yesterday, Blackburn goal keeper should have scored a late equaliser which will take the
game to extra time, and penalty shoot out

 

Always said this

He's top class when the ball's coming at him from in front of him as he showed again last night

From the sides, i.e. crosses and corners, a lot of the time one of these would be more effective

 

Another good game last night

Second half of the season he's been excellent ,its easy to forget how many times he has saved us

Certainly improved since last year.

Even coming and punching corners a lot more now as well as wiping out players if they are in the way.

Still has weaknesses like distribution and occasionally flapping and missing the odd corner but would prefer he tries ton one and punch and missed one in 10 then he doesn't come for any.

Shot it stopping is 2nd to none.

Can be slow off his line which doesn't help our play but I have noticed an improvement this year in that he's tried to dominate his area a lot more.

Deserves next season to see if he continues the improvement, he's still only 26 so another 3 years or so until his prime.

 

He's been probably our most consistent performer of late. Mistakes still in him (and his kicking is still scary) but there are a few others who could do worse than take a look at how he's turned his form around Get the wife to shout at you more.....maybe BR should get her to the training ground.

the bad news is.......... he's useless at kicking, passing, rushing out, handling.... and most of all organising

See sahko yesterday.... a real keeper would have bellowed away at him and kicked his arse for his slow motion action i nthe box. mingolet seems to think shouting after he's saved something is the way

He holds shots coming at him, I've not seen much bounce off him ever, he makes good saves... therefore he gets a 5 from me.

He can't kick it long, can't catch it well, can't dominate his area and most of all doesn't push the line up and inspire confidence.

well it's hard to tell if he's permanently turned the corner or whether he's just hit some form. In his current form he's a solid 8/10 but first half of season it was more like a 4, and probably 5/6 in other seasons. So probably around 6/10 would be about right
