I'm sure Chazz is anxiously waiting for me to pick this year's Masters winner, so here we go.

Sadly, the three I think have the best chance are also the three with the most prohibitive prices: Rory McIlroy (6/1), Jordan Speith (10/1) and Bubba Watson (11/1). Even at his short price, I'd probably still lean towards Rory at this stage - he's that good.

For those in search of a longer-priced each way bet, look for long, high hitters. Phil Mickelson at 28/1 looks tempting, Justin Rose is classy (40/1) and Jimmy Walker (22/1) is a man in form.

So, in summary, I think Rory is the most likely winner, while Rose is my value pick.

Unpredictable weather forecast, thunderstorms and so on. Could level the playing field a bit as Augusta usually is a course suiting the top ranked players and course specialists. I would have gone against the likes of Rose and Mcdowell but there is no reason they couldn't do well if the weather upsets the applecart, so got 74/1 Mcdowell and 21/1 Rose. Augusta could be Mcilroys least favoured Major course in terms of the short game so he's not good value. Tiger Woods 33/1 yesterday, written off, he's been in that position before a few years ago, even then I got 8/1 before he won the Open so had a little bet on him too and wacky trousers Poulter

Glad I had a last minute decision to have a bet on Rose, 40-1 each way looking Ok so far. A lot of players in contention still, maybe more so than usual.

Your Rose tip looks decent but Jordan Speith is going to win a bag of Majors - at 21 he already looks the act

Wish I'd seen this thread earlier - I like my golf and I've had a decent bet on Spieth at $14 - just need another few rounds like today's...

Watched a bit on tv yesterday, Tiger Woods has really lost it, I think. He's looks like a really angry and troubled man, let alone his golf being a bit off.

If he keeps it going he will be unstoppable, some of the golf pundits think he's gone off a bit too fast though and will struggle to maintain it with no experience, could go either way I reckon!

Of course they are not normally that far away. You do understand how making a book works?

Thats just Tiger being his normal self, he's always been petulant and a bit unpredictable, makes him fun to watch. He hit an incredible shot out of the trees yesterday, Jack Nicklaus couldn't believe it but on the other hand he hasn't won a Major for years so is definitely in some kind of decline. Got to say watch out for Ernie Els too, you can't write off some of these old timers, he looked solid what I saw last night

Tom Watson shot 71 at 65 years old

Woods did OK, he's been working a lot on his short game, his last competitive round was 82 and for a 2 month break it's not bad 73 round Augusta

I'd like to see Garcia win, he really should be doing before he retires from golf, incredible talent

McIlroy has missed some seriously short putts today. Constantly shooting himself in the foot.

If I hadn't backed him I'd say he's unstoppable - in the best form, arguably the best golfer in the world on a course that suits him and he's 5 clear of his nearest rival

The fact I've backed him is a potential kiss of death......

Spieth's 3rd round will determine whether he will finally win, if he can shoot 2 or 3 under then I think he will be hard to catch.

It's not uncommon for a 64-66 to be followed by a steadier round of a 70 or a 71 and that puts him in total control.

There's something about this guy which suggests he'll be fine

Rose is just 4 shots back now going in to tomorrows final round, on the last two holes today Spieth started to unravel very slightly. I hope Rose can do it, not just for the bet obviously but for the fact he is genuinely decent fella, also his shot on the 18th was a masterstroke today

Could go right to the 18th tomorrow, Rose has a slight edge with the experience of the US open win but who knows, I'd have an itchy finger on the cashout button if your bookie lets you do that!

Well, he did shoot 70, but the last two holes were anything but steady - they hinted at mental fatigue that will mean a huge test for him tonight.

That second shot to the last was so Normanesque that his supporters must be a tad worried. I'll be seeing what price Mickelson is at the moment to nick it.
