Are you referring to when they played Bilbao? I agree they under performed over two legs when they were beat (and in Europe as a whole) but sometimes you need to use your common sense. Player for player, Bilbao were not better than United, they were just better than them tactically over both games.

With Everton and Wolfsburg: when you look at the players they have I would say there's not a huge disparity in quality, yet one is second in the Bundesliga and the other is mid table in the Premier League. I bet Everton would be competing for a CL spot in the Bundesliga.

You're just proving my point though. If Bayern would be as dominant in the PL, that goes to show how far ahead they are of the rest of the sides. If you're trying to say to me Wolfsburg, Leverkusen, Schalke et al would be outperforming United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs etc, I think you're incredibly way off the mark.

Monaco are competing for a Champions League spot in Ligue 1 and they are not in mid table obscurity.

None of them are better for the job at hand. You have a manager who requires a perfect set up and has an awful mentality, a manager who you claim is elite despite having the best team on earth at his disposal, a manager who spent half thr season fighting relegation and a glorified cup manager.

Yet you claim they are better than a manager who puts much of his focus into the youth set ups and playing style of the club? They really arent.

For the record the only one I didn't include is Simeone. I rate all in your list highly bar Ancelotti who I dont rate much at all. Cant argue with his cup record but tge league is always the priority.

I don't think I've come across a United fan who is genuinely as biased as you are.

We were comparing the strength of mid tier German teams to mid tier English teams with you claiming that the bundesliga is the strongest league. And there doesn't seem to be any basis for this given the only real matchup that has happened this season between the two resulted in two comfortable Everton wins. What have Monaco got to do with any of this?

Nothing biased about it. Just an opinion.

van Gaal is not the best manager in the world but he is the best man for our rebuild.

Your analysis of the aforementioned managers Cini highlighted was absolutely ludicrous. If one of those other managers were in charge instead of LvG, you'd change your tune about them. They are all better managers than van Gaal (and Wenger for that matter).

I also disagree that he is the best man for your rebuild, but hey ho. It's all subjective.

United are a small team now, winning the 4th place trophy is seen as 'rebuilding' for them. They're cup final will be beating City on the weekend.

They are not all better. Your opinion is a very lazy one.

Ancelotti is the single most overrated manager in football. Hes won 3 league titles despite having the best possible sides at his disposal. His cup record is good but the reality is, its not good enough.

Mourinho would be ideal if we were the finished article. We are in transition though and have many youngsters in our squad.

Pep, hes the guy you want a just after or a few managers after van Gaal. As long as lvg's philosophy remains, pep will pick it up with ease. Hes probably out next manager.

I wouldn't want Pep right after Fergie. He isnt the type to teach a club his style but to expand upon it once it is implemented. I did want Jose but because he could come in and demand immediate respect. When Fergie left, he was the short term answer.

We went with Moyes and thus an LvG was required. Someone with a track record of building clubs. Someone with a record few can argue with in terms of youth. Someone with a plan.

Who was better in your eyes. Both when Fergie left and this season.

Never understand why anyone would put their club down in order to have a hilariously bad dig at United.

Eh? The Bundesliga already has four CL places, they used to have three but took one from Italy.

As was your epic yarn trying to desperately explain why Van Gaal is the best man for the United job. Chelsea spent less than you and won the league. City spent less than you and won the league.

    x + £150m = no challenge for any trophies

What does 'x' equal? The best man for the job for all non-United fans certainly.
