Most evenly matched league though, unlike elsewhere in europe where one or two teams excel and everyone else gets scraps.
It is I agree as the money is shared out so every time can have a few players However that doesn't mean that overal the quality is high. Sadly the thing is the clubs who have easy leagues have hoovered up every player going (bayern, real, barca) and are in the stratosphere compared to city or even Chelsea The current state of the prem is quite low quality overall as teams cannot defend it makes it easy to get goals and so.... Well it's an issue when Monaco etc are beating our sides The very highest standards in Europe will be shown in the next round of cl
Yes, it's entertaining to the neutral but I'm talking about actual footballing ability. English teams are poor at defending and even worse tactically.
Yeah lad that'll be why in the last decade, of the 20 sides that competed in the final of the CL, 8 have been English, 3 from Italy, 4 from Germany and 5 Spain. We're shocking tactically and have no actual ability though................oh wait
To be fair, the English sides were a bit unlucky and a tad naive. How did Arsenal get through? All they needed was to keep the score at 1-2 and not go for the draw in the last minute. Chelsea could have also gone through although they found PSG on good form. They could have easily goner through. City was unlucky to meet Barcelona but were naive. We have been too long away from it and were easily outclassed by fairly ordinary teams. Real would beat most teams. So it was a fine line between having 2 or zero in the last 8.
Individual team failings this season are one thing, but saying that we're tactically and technically far worse than other European leagues per se is a complete fallacy, which stands up to zero scrutiny, and that was my point.
Man City is a strange one, you think the players they have they would just wake up and start playing but they seem to have given up. They have West Ham next where anything other than a victory would leave them in serious trouble. If they didn't get into the top 4 it would ruin them imo.
The basic stats on who's won what titles and so on, La Liga has more of an even spread of titles since the PL came about. It would be even worse had RA and the Sheik not bought and pumped money into Chelsea and City respectively. Before RA and the Sheik, the PL was the most 1 horse race league out of the top leagues. Far worse than the two horse race La Liga was before Atletico won the the title. Ateltico won the title without a decline in Barca and Real, they were still strong sides capable of winning the PL hands down. La Liga is a 3 horse race atm. The PL has been a two horse race all season up till new years and has been a 1 horse race ever since.
Arsenal x3, Chelsea x3, City x2, Blackburn x1and United x 13 Not sure of how many but in the same time. Barcelona, Real, Atletico, Deportivo* and Valencia. * not sure if DLC won it or finished second. Might have missed a la liga side tbh.
I think if you want to talk evenly spread its pointless to talk about 1990s which is a long time ago. the spread of titles over past.. i dunno 8 to 10 years? in last 10 its utd 5 chelsea 3, city 2. evenly matched? nah... its all about the money baby.... sides with wonga and unlimited wonga at that have won it...
Those 5 were won with some pretty clever spending. Unlike the other two whos combined spend of 2billion just about matched us.
Since 1992 La Liga has had 5 winners. Barca 10 Real 7 Valencia 1 Deportivo 2 Atletico 2 PL 5 winners United 13 Blackburn 1 Arsenal 3 City 2 Chelsea 3 La Liga 1 team grabbed less than 50% titles, PL United well over 50% of the titles and La Liga didn't have RA and a Sheik come in and invest a few billion into two clubs, the only reason the PL has not been a one horse race for almost it's entire existence. So in short, you talk a load of ****e but I am happy to show that you do in fact talk bollocks. "Nope"
We broke Man City Since turning up at Anfield they have lost every away game they've played Their remaining ones are Spurs and Swansea
and over last 10 its barca 6, real 3, atletico 1... which makes atletico's win all the more impressive. they won it on the back of europa successes and 1/3.. yes 1/3 of the tv money LESSON. build, grow, work for each other, have utter faith in manager who is not a spoofer I think perosnally the moeny is both leagues has just gorwn and grown and grown. those without have never been so far from every winning one. Atletico should give all hope. but they are not a small club either Blackbrun bought their way to the title. Arsenal built upon big money on bergkamps and sold anelka and bout vieira and petit on it... now they are big spenders... the fact is the titles follow the money. It is only when you go to last 5 years that you could say its "even" City 2, utd 2, cheslea 1..... it'd be barca 3, real 1, athletico 1 in spain Next year's favorites for the titel will be: Utd and chelsea... city will have to spend 200mil.... thats the way it is. Arsenal will be just short cos they'll only have 50-70mil or so to spend.
"even" sure..... can't admit your point was total **** so you are now twisting it to suit the facts you've been given.
