.....are starting to resemble the most unproductive partnership since Elton John married Renata.

Memories of Watt's "brilliant start" (copywrite ITTV) are now a distant memory. The guy increasingly reminds me of a poor mans Luke Varney. Head down, no peripheral vision, when carrying the ball he looks like a Scotsman chasing a five pound note in the wind. How many blind alleys did he run up last night? His touch is not the best, either.

As for Igor, I can only assume based on his recent performances that he is either unfit and being forced to play, or else is angling for a move. He is a shadow of the player we saw from August to October. Watch his body language off the ball. Moaning to team mates, shoulders slumped, slowly jogging back into position. Another player with a heavier touch than Reams on a keyboard.

Anyone else agree that we are unlikely to see the Vetokole / Watt partnership next season?

I thought Watt was class, though tired in the second half. A good pre season where he's put through his paces and we'll have one of the best strikers in the league.

Vetokele seems banged up. His touch has deserted him the past month or so, but he wasn't making those mistakes at the start of the season, so that tells me something is up. He's not the guarenteed starter we thought he would be, but is a good championship player.

Whether the partnership is working / agree the jury is out.

I thought Igor worked his socks off in the first half. I was looking at his and WAtt's body language off the ball and Igor seemed much more enthusiastic. WAtt on the other hand looks as though he needs to lose a pound or two and get properly fit, then we could have a very good player. They both seemed to be playing on the shoulder waiting for the perfect through ball which never came. It made me wish once again that we could see Gudmundsson in the middle as the creative midfielder, and that we had last year's Lawrie Wilson on the right. Hopefully with Solly back on Saturday, Gomez back in the middle alongside TBH and Johnson dropped we'll be a bit better at the back.

These two were shining lights at one stage, amazing. We do not know what is going on behind the scenes though RE contracts and plans.

These two should be getting stuck right in. Perhaps it emphasises why Watt is and has been shopped around so much.

Can people see Igor and Watt scoring 15 goals a piece in a promotion season? Watt runs around a lot and signs lots of autographs, but he is no goalscorer.

I still think Watt is quality his touch and skill is the best we have at the Valley I think, but I don't think he will be a prolific goal scorer. There was one turn he did in the second half which left their CB for dead, he gets you off your feet and gets the crowd going which I like.

Let us see what uncle Roland gets us in the Summer. Midfield and upfront is still thin. I don't think Eagles and Church is the answer. I think both should be let go along with Wilson, Reza, Nego, Polish Pete, and some other fringe players. This would free up some cash to strengthen the centre of midfield, and somebody to play alongside Vetokele or Watt.
It is probably best to ask Reams who is coming in because he and Katrien are best mates.

I thought he was sworn to secrecy? Or do you think he's the kiss-and-tell type?

Have to say our front two looked a really poor pairing again yesterday. In Watt's defence, it can't be easy playing alongside a guy who does not look interested. Luzon only had Church as an alternative, and not much of one at that. We clearly need at least two new strikers this summer. If Igor wants to be on the beach already, maybe the Club should stop his wages! There is a goalscorer in there, but something is clearly amiss.

Thought Watt was one of the better players, but you can only say any of them played for 45 minutes in truth.

I'm not going to give up on Vetokele yet. Had a chance in the first half and won the penalty. I think the months where he played up top by himself with an injury has had a knock on effect. He needs to be challenged, as you rightly point out his only competition is church. Rest him for the rest of the season and get him firing for pre season.

igor looked half the player we had when he arrived. he had a great chance in the first half that i'd have put good money on him finishing, and he blazed it over.

There's clearly something amiss with Igor, who knows what. Yes he won the penalty but I'd put that down to poor goalkeeping. He just doesn't give defenders any problems at all these days, which is an astonishing decline from the early season when he looked nailed on to be our POTY, and our only worry was whether or not we'd be able to hang on to him for the rest of the season. He doesn't appear to be a happy bunny, and the applause he got when he left the field after a clash of heads was sympathy more than anything else.

Judge Igor after he's for a full pre season under his belt, I think he'll be our top scorer again next season

Have to say I too believe he'll be our top scorer. If we build on the squad, and watt and Vetokele remain full fit for the most of next season, I think they're capable of getting 30 goals.

Good to be finishing with a few wins, esp considering these two are not firing.

Why is Igor unhappy, wat is his contract situation ?

5 years I believe. I think he's unhappy with himself. He hadn't looked fully fit in months. Nows the time to start resting him.

Igor couldn't trap a bag of cement right now. When you think of the skill he displayed with his goal in front of the away end at Brighton earlier in the season, the decline is amazing.

Brighton is the game that stands out in my head. I think we can get him back to that level - but it's evident he needs a prolonged break.
