It was on the (dubious) Rumours site earlier today but no source was quoted, just mischief making perhaps?

No Chance, I can't see Swansea selling there captain after promotion and doubt he will want to leave even if he is not 1st choice.

I know the feeling on here is that Hammond could be struggling for starts next season, but I cannot see us selling him.

My thoughts exactly. I'm really quite shocked that so many people were seemingly taken in.

 

I think it's more the fact that Radio Solent reported it, who are on seemingly good terms with the club

 

As the duck from the "duck song" would say,ahhhhh no thanks.

 

Can't see this happening to be honest, though he did say in an off the cuff remark that he would be playing for us next season unless sold, which is kinda odd thing to say to a sky reporter after the play offs .

I can't see him getting much game time next season though, so a move might happen if he thinks he get first team action.

 

Hope this doesn't happen, I do like Gary Monk, won't play many games in the Premier League, but a great leader for our side. Good luck for the coming season against Pompey, MUST be looking forward to that!!!

 

I am that rare animal, a Saints fan who doesn't want to play Pompey unless I know beforehand that we will win. I can bear to lose against anyone except them. I will hide until it's all over. The sooner we leave them when we get promoted the better

If you were Garry Monk and you'd spent over 10 years (??) helping your team go through the leagues to the top flight, lifting the play off trophy to at in the premier league, would you want toleave and miss out on the dream you've always dreamt?

Was anyone listening to Solent who can verify that they actually said this? The cynics on SWF seem to think the OP made it up.

 

I started, listening to it Matt around about 4:30 when i heard said rumour.
only thing of intrest was the cricket!, and bournemouth have signed some player i never heard of.
