A letter has now been emailed to the Premier League(copied to Supporters Direct and the Football Supporters Federation) informing them that Hull City have not yet announced a single promotion for the benefit of Hull City fans using the ASI money.

It asks for clarification of the rules, details of any accountability, along with asking if there is any recourse if the fund is not used in the manner it should be.

James is the conduit that is used for the vast majority of communication with the club. I am attempting to gauge the quality of him as a conduit and communicator between the club and it's supporters, as it would appear that some believe he is an innocent in all of this.
Talk of a witch hunt is a tad extreme, his position is being questioned as the Marketing and Comunications Manager of Hull City Tigers, that's all. <ok>

But it's meaningless. If he was expected to tell us and hadn't, he'd be out of a job. If he knows and was told to keep quiet, if he told us he'd be out of a job. If it was for him to do and he hasn't, he'd be out of a job.

Anything he's done outside of that fund is imaterial to the issue at hand.

I've now been told that some t-shirts were specifically made and sent to Swansea , I presume to be given out. For reasons unknown or not disclosed they were not given out and are now on their way to Southampton. I know of no other details. I have told James Mooney what I think of this, both as an away fan and a fans working group member, it discredits the club and does nothing for the raison d'être of the FWG.

If that is the case why the **** can't the club put out a statement, and at least try to win some hearts and minds. Mickey Mouse marketing again.

    Pantomime.

I emailed James this morning to let him know we'd be contacting the FA this afternoon, he didn't bother responding.

    Who the **** wants tshirts?

Neither the few that will be travelling or the larger majority of fans back home on the day - it benefits very few and doesn't improve help towards getting fans to attend more away games,etc..

I told James Mooney exactly that when he told me what they intended to do. If I didn't know better I would get the impression the club aren't listening to their customers.

The thing is that's probably not funny & may well be accurate....I certainly expect them to say Hull Tigers with no mention of City

Unless, as his title might suggest and normal practise might endorse, he is actively taking their name-change policy to heart and playing an active part in not only implementing it, but also structuring it and advising on how it should proceed; the use of Hull City Tigers on his unnecessary LinkedIn account lends some credibility to this - either that or he really is not too bright. The delaying tactics and wholehearted cooperation in finding a suitable delay for the big banners and finding a way for the supporters to pay for smaller ones (that cannot accommodate the club's name), might be considered as a masterstroke by his boss - the seat banners a decent marketing idea without stretching himself and getting brownie points all around. Getting a supporter on SAG was no more than appearing as a good guy when the act was an inevitable one which takes some flak away from future contentious decisions. The FWG is a great way of keeping closer to the factions.

Everything he does is relevant to all club related issues; like the facets of the gem they are a part of the whole and can be considered separately, but only have value when considered as a whole.

I am not aware that your role includes dictating what is the issue at hand, some of us might disagree with your opinion on that. It's a forum, let discussion evolve.

Edit: just seen the posts that followed; do you all really believe Mooney is an innocent in all of this? You might like him, but he is playing for the opposition, start dealing with him in that way.

You seem to have based all that on zero direct, personal experience. Forgive me for basing my position on something more robust.

The lack of discussion and consultation with fans is disgraceful. It's a massive part of the issue I have with the evictions, and why I felt a bigger issue should have been made of it rather than it being defended.
