The first Matrix is pretty good. Shame they made it a trilogy. You basically blaspheming by saying the LotR trilogy is pants!
I will probably get shot down for nominating a supposed classic but having enjoyed Blade Runner when it was released I have never managed to sit through more than 10 minutes when it pops up on the box
Have you read the book, "Do Android's dream of electric sheep?"? It's got a lot more depth to it, and whilst it doesn't have the excellent "tears in rain" soliloquy, think it's a better story. Mentioning Africa, The Last King of Scotland was a good film, but not something I'd necessarily want to put myself through again any time soon.
The Human Centipede is pretty grim, both in the fact it is rubbish, from what I can make out no social comment or theme and is really only about how disgusting it would be to sew someone's mouth to the arse of somebody else and dine on faeces.
The Nicholas Cage remake of 'The Wicker Man'. How can you seriously direct a scene in which your lead actor, dressed in a bear costume, runs up to a woman and punches her!
Rings were wonderful films IMO but they got worse. The first one for me was superb and I found that every setting was exactly as I had imagined when reading the books. I agree totally about the Matrix.
Sleuth, once you know the outcome of the field between Lord Olivier and Michael Caine it makes any second viewing pointless.
